Coronavirus Diary

Day 54 10th May 2020

There's 4,119 cases in Northern Ireland, 219,183 in the UK and 22,996 in Ireland. In England they're reducing the lockdown and I think it's really stupid, there's still thousands of people being infected. I think China didn't reduce their lockdown until less than a thousand people were being infected each day. Thankfully Northern Ireland is in lockdown until the 28th of May, it seems a lot more sensible.

My mum won't get to do anything for her birthday, which is sad. We normally go to a restaurant, but we won't be able to do that this year.

When I got up I watched You've Been Framed and it was really funny seeing the cat videos. A lot of the cats were attacking dogs and their owners, it was pretty funny.

Then I played Resident Evil 7 VR, I haven't played it in ages because I was too scared. I was kinda prepared and knew what to do because I'd watched videos.

I left the safe room and there was a policeman and I had to let him in, so I went down to the garage and let him in. But then the dad killed him. I lifted the keys for the car and I got in as quickly as I could. I ran over the dad a few times but then he disappeared, he got into the car with me and started driving it about. He ended up crashing and it killed him.

I got out of the car and got a few supplies and the dad came back to life and I stabbed him a few times, but I was pretty scared. As I was about to go up the ladder the dad came back to life again! I hadn't been expecting it and he made me scream. Then he took the gun that I'd got off the police officer and he shot himself in the head.

Then I went up the ladder and I got part of a bull. Then I got back to the safe house and I saved the game. I went to a door and put the bull in and I got to another part of the house.

I've found a shotgun but I need to find something to put in its place because a gate thing comes down and traps me in the room. I looked around and got a phone call from a woman who's trying to help me.

I went upstairs and the granny was there, thankfully she doesn't do anything so I don't get attacked by her. I found a video tape and I put it in and I played as Mia. She had to get away from her mum and it was quite tense.

I ran into the house that was coming apart and when I got in a bit I heard the mum coming and I had to hide behind a box. Then I went on and I had to hide outside, I genuinely thought she was going to find me. There was an object and I lifted it and when I turned it into the right shape it opened a secret passage.

I went through the passage and some girl was talking and then the mum started coming towards me. I didn't know what to do and the mum attacked me and I failed. The second time I went through and I wasn't sure what to do again and I went back to hide in the passage but the mum caught me before I got in. 

The third time I got back into the passage but when I came out she caught me. So the fourth time when the mum was coming after me I went back into the passage and I decided to go back the way I came. I thought I could do that but when I got to the other side the mum was there. It scared me so much! I screamed pretty loudly. I really hadn't been expecting her to run to the other side and get me.

So the fifth time I hid around the boxes that were on the floor and I was able to sneak past her. I got down under the floor boards and the mum was shouting. A panel slid closed in front of me and everything went dark. It was hideous! Then the mum appeared right in front of me, I didn't like it at all.

After that I quit because I'd had enough scares for the day. I was so scared of that mum, she kept finding me. It really is the scariest game I've ever played, although this time it wasn't just as scary as the last time I played it.

It's funny watching videos of people playing it. There was a video I watched recently and Mia was coming at him with a chainsaw and he ended up dying. He was so scared that he quit the game and he opened all the doors very slowly. I'm not as bad as that, I haven't got killed at all I don't think and I go through the doors at a reasonable speed.

Then I played Spider-Man for a while and I was evicted which is unfortunate. Peter was going to stay with MJ for the night since he didn't have a place to stay but he decided against it. I'm surprised he didn't just go stay with aunt May. I also bought the DLC for the game so I'll play that once I've finished the main story.

I watched Impractical Jokers Wild and I think it was them doing sketches, it's hard to know whether it was real or not. I'm pretty sure most of it was scripted. There was one bit where Sal said that he was gay, then Murr admitted to being gay. And then Joe said that he'd slept with Murr's ex and they said they'd all lied to get Joe to admit that. It was pretty funny.

There was a bit where they were playing video games and the doorbell rang so they went out and a baby was there. They thought it was Joe coming with food. They were saying the baby was cute, but then they left it for the neighbour, it was shockingly funny. Then Q went out and it seemed like he felt bad and he was going to take the baby, but instead he took the basket to put his video games in.

Then I went for a shower and when I came downstairs I watched the last episode of Quiz. It was about the trial and I thought the defence lawyer was very good, although the jury found all three people guilty.

After that I watched I Am the Night which is a TV series with Chris Pine in it. He's a photographer in journalism and there was a really funny bit where he was in a morgue, he'd sneaked in. People were coming in so he went and hid in one of the trays and closed the door but not fully. Someone closed it fully and then Chris started laughing and they discovered him.

There's a girl in it and she looks white but her mother is black, the father is out of the picture. She went and found her birth certificate and she saw that she'd been adopted and her mum was actually white and her dad was black. So the mum she was living with wasn't her biological mum. 

She was in work and she got a file, which I think had information about her parents. A woman told her that her mum had died so she ran back to her house and her mum was fine. The mum had lied about being dead, but I don't really know why she did that.

The girl phoned the family and she talked to her grandad and he told her to visit. So she got on a bus going to California and on the way she met a man who talked to her. I got creepy vibes off him.

She got to California and the grandad was meant to be picking her up but he didn't show up and she kept phoning his house. At the end of the episode a woman told the grandad that the girl had been calling and he was the same man who'd talked to her earlier at the bus stop.

People had been telling her that the grandad is a bad man and at the end of the episode it showed the pictures of three girls. So I'm assuming that he's a serial killer and I think it's based on a true story.

I found out that Sunday in the Park with George, a play with Jake Gyllenhaal in it has been postponed to next year. I'd been so excited for it, I've been waiting from last July to see it this June. I think I have to rebook nearer the time, the tickets are being kept for me and I'll get priority. I just hope I'll get seats that are as good because I had booked the third row which is really close and I assume I'd be able to see everything. It's a bit annoying but I understand that it has to be postponed and I'm glad it wasn't cancelled.

I had booked plane tickets as well, so I'll just have to change the date and go on an extra holiday to England. But I don't know when I'll change them to because I've no idea when it'll be safe to travel. And there'd be no point in going to England if places like the zoo aren't open.
