Coronavirus Diary

Day 13 30th March 2020

There are 533 cases in Northern Ireland, 2,910 in Ireland and 22,141 in the UK. Worldwide there are 790,111 cases which is nearly 1 million. It's crazy how many people are infected and I really hope it'll be gone soon.

It really is like the game Plague Inc, which I started playing a few years ago. I just hope this virus doesn't mutate and become more deadly, the way viruses do in the game. And the coronavirus has spread to loads of different countries, it really does feel like the real life version of Plague Inc.

I had a horrible dream this morning that my mum had Covid-19 and she had to go to the hospital. And she didn't want to pay for a ventilator so I was going to give her the one that was reserved for me because I didn't think I'd need it. It was a really bad dream and I'm so glad it wasn't real. Thankfully in the UK we don't have to pay for our healthcare, so I wouldn't have to worry about my mum buying a ventilator.

Then I had a great dream where I met Tom Holland and I was super excited and telling him that I loved his movies. I started dating him and he was so cute. I was really disappointed when I woke up because it wasn't real.

When I got up I asked my dad about the internet and he said they'd try to get it fixed. But it turned out they had the wrong address so my internet won't be back for another 5-7 days which is awful. I can't do most of my coursework without the internet.

Then I emailed for an extension for my dissertation because it was offered to everyone and I need it since I don't have internet. And I messaged the teacher and he'll try to get more teachers for me to interview.

After that I watched Bondi Rescue and there was a tsunami warning. It was an old episode which I'd seen loads of times but I'd completely forgotten that there was ever a tsunami warning on the show.

I went and got a shower and then I watched some Lip Sync Battle as I wrote my Bondi Rescue fanfiction which you can read here if you want - https://www.wattpad.com/836417297-bondi-rescue-preferences-and-imagines-how-you-meet. I was shocked when Rob Schneider licked the other guy's face. And then he ate some of the fake hair the guy was wearing. It was gross but kinda funny at the same time. I also watched X-Factor the band and it was pretty good.

After that I watched Richard Osman's House of Games and it was good. I watched Safe House, which is a movie with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. Ryan was in the CIA and Denzel was a fugitive who was being brought in by the CIA. People attacked them and they had to go on the run together. I won't say anymore in case I spoil the movie. It was a pretty good movie.

Then I watched A Question of Sport and I was glad that Phil won. Although they didn't have the Mystery Guest round which is one of my favourites because I like trying to guess who the person is.

A guy I went on a date with a while ago before the coronavirus is worried about the whole thing. And he's sad that the lockdown will be for 12 weeks, but I knew the lockdown would last a long time. 

My friend Bradley is now growing a beard, so it'll be interesting to see what he looks like with it. He's never had any kind of facial hair but he now has stubble which he sent me a picture of. Although knowing Bradley he could be messing with me.
