Coronavirus Diary

Day 145 9th August 2020

There's 6,140 cases in Northern Ireland, 311,641 in the UK and 26,768 in Ireland. It's very bad that there's still so many people dying and being infected.

When I got up I watched The Dictator which is a movie with Sacha Baron Cohen, Anna Faris and Ben Kingsley in it. Sacha played Aladeen the dictator of a country and it was really funny cause he kept executing people, but he later found out that they'd all gone to America and hadn't been killed at all. 

He went to America to sign a thing that would make his country democratic, he was kidnapped and his beard was shaved so he seemed like a normal citizen. 

There was a really funny bit where he was in a helicopter with his friend and they were trying to act normal, but they started speaking in their language and they mentioned Bin Laden and 911 and made exploding noises for fireworks. They were in the helicopter with two white Americans, the two of them were arrested after that, it was really funny.

Then I watched The Witcher and Jaskier brought Geralt to a royal ball because he didn't want to get in trouble with the royals. There was a woman who needed to get married and she picked a guy who looked kinda like a hedgehog because they knew each other and they were in love. Weird stuff happened and then he became a man.

Then Geralt did some promise thing, I think it means he has to marry their daughter or something. It was pretty confusing.

Yennefer was protecting a woman and her baby, but a man went after them with some weird creature. Yennefer was helping them get away through portals but the guy kept finding them. Then she let the woman get killed and took the baby, but the guy threw a knife and Yennefer was injured and the poor baby died.

Jaskier and Geralt found a vase thing that had a genie in it and they would get three wishes. Jaskier broke the vase and his neck swole, so Geralt had to get him to a healer. The healer said he needed a mage, so they went to a house and Yennefer was there. She fixed Jaskier, but she was trying to get her fertility back.

Jaskier got out and Yennefer was possessed, but Geralt fixed it. Then the building collapsed on them, but Yennefer got them out in time and they slept together. Poor Jaskier was thinking they were dead.

After that I watched Impractical Jokers. There was a really funny bit where they were being dentists and Sal had to readjust the chair, so he put it up really high and then tilted it. He was laughing so much that he had to leave the room and take a loss.

There was a four way tie for last place, so they all lost. They all got different hairstyles, Joe's was a mullet, Q got his hair dyed ginger, Sal's hair was shaved in the middle and highlighted blonde at the ends and Murr's was shaved with one tuft left. It was so funny.

Then I watched The Office and there were two new guys who were being called mini Jim and Dwight. 

Andy was trying to make things difficult for Nellie because he wanted her to quit since he couldn't fire her. He got a tightrope thing and was saying he'd done it at his camp. Nellie had a go but she fell off.

Mini Dwight did it really well, he got past quickly with barely any problems. Then Dwight had a go, but he kept falling off and he hurt himself a bit.

Roy had a wedding and Jim and Pam went to it. Roy surprised his wife by playing the piano and it made Jim and Pam realise they knew a lot about each other and they didn't do many surprises.

I watched Old Boy which is a movie with Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Imperioli in it. Josh was kidnapped and blamed for the murder of his wife and he was kept in the same room for 20 years.

Then he finally got out and had to figure out who'd kidnapped him. The twist end shocked me and the very end was pretty disappointing, although I enjoyed the other parts of the movie.

I watched Prodigal Son and there was a family who'd been killed. Snakes came out of the father's mouth, it was pretty gross.

They thought they'd caught the guy because he got wild animals from the black market, but Malcom realised he wasn't the killer. It was the other son who was an illegitimate child who'd killed the family and he tried to poison his own family. Thankfully Malcom and Dani saved them.

I had eggy burps all day which wasn't nice, it made me feel sick the whole day.
