Ten Months Later

Kailani's POV

Ten months, and I'm still here.

I'm sitting on top of the roof vaping, looking up at the beautiful sunset.

I came to my dads house for this weekend but everything is still the same, I don't get along with his family except the little baby girl.

I haven't been talking with everyone back at Northview, All I know is Sophia had her baby and now Derek, the baby, and her live in a house near college.

"Hey Kailani" my dad came and sat next to me

"Hello father" I looked down exhaling letting the smoke come out my mouth

"I know your not happy here" he said "you barley noticed?" I laughed

"I'm trying to be serious" he said and I nodded letting him continue

"I know your birthday is in a couple days, and I wanted to give you and early birthday gift" he said taking an envelope out of his pocket

"Wow you remembered" I smiled taking the envelope

"Open it" he smiled

I opened it slowly and took out the papers, "really?" I said tearing up

"I want you to be happy and I know you won't want to stay here any longer" he said

"Thank you" I said giving him a side hug "go pack, you're leaving tomorrow morning" he said and we got down the roof and I ran inside the house

"Where's everything else?" I said stopping my tracks "they took all your things out already and will get to your moms house the day after you get there" he said

"Damn" I laughed "aye it's not that I want you to leave, but I assumed you would want to leave as soon as possible" he said and I nodded

"Whatever you don't want just leave it here and we'll throw it away" he said "okay" I looked around the room, then he left closing the door

I packed a couple more things in the suit case then fell asleep.

"Aye there's a party later tonight let's go!" Ale said "nah I'm tired" I said walking into our room

"Then sleep and we'll go later" Mariano chuckled "yea come on kai" Mattia smiled

"Oh now you're going to a party" I rolled my eyes falling onto my bed

"Yea, I mean she's not coming back and I'm tired of waiting, I wanna have fun" he raised his eyebrows

"You've been talking to Jenna these past few months aren't you guys like together?" Ale said "not really, like I really don't know" he said
