The obnoxious beeping of the alarm clock rang through the room piercing into Renjuns dreams forcing him to awake from his slumber.
It was early, 5am to be exact, and tiredness washed over him as he groaned and turned off his alarm- rolling over and pulling the blanket over his head for just 5 more minutes of sleep.
His house resides on the dark side of them moon, so Waking up with it being dark out wasn't a problem for him.
The problem was that he spent all night thinking about the outcomes of today, the day he'd finally see his soulmate, the day he'd set foot on Earth.
As his mind started to drift off back into a deep sleep the sound of knocking on his door forbid him to sleep.
"Bear?" His mother spoke gently, opening the door to look in at the lump of blankets cocooning her son. "It's time to get up sweetie," she said closing the door behind her.
Renjun let out another groan before dragging himself out of bed. Wearily walking to the kitchen, the smell of pancakes filled the air as he sat down.
"Here you go, buttermilk pancakes with strawberries honey, your favourite," his mother said as she placed the plate in front of him.
"Thanks," he said and a yawn escaped his mouth in the meantime.
Renjun ate his food and got ready. Freshening himself up and making himself look his most presentable as he prepared for the day ahead of him.
"You ready?" His mother asked him and he nodded, taking a deep breath in and smiling.
"As ready as I'll ever be," he said as they got into his mothers car.
His elbow leant against the window as he rested his chin on it, preparing for the ride ahead of them.
He picked up his phone as he felt it vibrate, reading the text he had just receive.
