"Uhhhh... we share the same class?" The girl seemed beyond confused and a little freaked out from the odd behaviour of her classmate.

Renjun notices her discomfort and let's go of her wrist, "right, yeah sorry. Just forget about me. I've had a weird morning," he said scratching the back of his head- mind distant and eyes a wide void.

Jihyun tilted her head, eyes flickering around his face.

The feeling of her hand resting on his upper arm brought his attention back to her.
"Are you okay Renjun? You're acting really weird."

His heart beat began to pick up he became hyper aware of her hand on his arm.
"Y-yeah I'm great," he reassured, trying his hardest to control the tone of his voice.

Jihyun took a second to continue to look at him, "well if you say so. I guess I'll see you around," she said after believing his words.

"Bye, I guess," she waves lightly, sending him a smile before turning on her heals and walking away.

Renjun watched as she walked out of sight, taking a breath he didn't know he had been holding and hitting his chest to calm himself down, "common Renjun, why are you acting like this."

Time felt slow.

Ticking away, minute by minute, agonising to watch as the hands turn into a blur- white and black morphing into one.

Time had began to move slower, the cold weather bringing the dark night earlier on in the day- shorting the time of sun and bringing a icy wintery darkness.

School felt slow too. The words of teachers droned out as drowsy eyes focus on the snow fall outside.

It was almost winter holidays, and everyone had given up- wanting nothing more than to sit inside and watch a show, play a game, or sleep their hours away- wondering what life was like 6 months ago when it was sunny and bright and life felt happier.

The internal thought and questioning of why winter brought such a seasonal melancholy and dejection. It was a time for cheers as Christmas and New Years were just around the corner.

But droopy eyes threatening sleep fell upon tired students and they struggle to wake up in the morning.

Dragging their seemingly lifeless bodies out of bed and begrudgingly getting ready for their day.

Jihyun was no exception to that, as she brought her mug up to her lips to devour the bittersweet caffeinated liquid that would grant her mere moments of temporary life.

Just enough energy to last her until lunch time.

It was about a week ago when her classmate asked if he knew her, but she never did take a second thought to it other than how distressed he looked.

It was as if he saw a ghost- but he was only looking at her.

Jihyun's mother yelled out to her from downstairs, ushering her to leave before she was late for school.

She could only yawn and peer out her bedroom window, eyes half hooded as she lazily looks around the snowy white street.

Eyes threatening to close until they fall on a familiar figure.

Her eyes shot open as she quickly stands up, grabbing her bag and racing downstairs.

Bidding her parents goodbye and rushing out the door.

She stands at the foot of her house and peers out onto the street watching as the figure walks into the distance.

She starts to run, snow crunching underfoot as she wraps her jacket around her tightly.

Steam flowing from her mouth as she pants hot air into the cold open air.

"Wait," she calls out, beckoning him to stop his fast pace walk.

"Jeno!"
