"Bear, wake up," the sound of his mother crescendoed through the house- beckoning for her son to awaken.
Renjun groaned, pulling the sheets over his pillow to shield himself from the blinding sun rays the seeped through his curtains.
He let out a long breath of air as he began to fall back to sleep, cocooned in the warmth of his blanket and wanting to forget all of his worries.
But that was soon interrupted once again by the sound of his alarm blasting underneath his pillow.
He screwed up his face as the loud ringing punctured his ear drum. Pulling out the phone from under his pillow he turns of the alarm, groaning once more before flinging off his duvet and allowing the cold arm pinch at his skin.
His eyes squinted shut as he begrudgingly stands up and makes his way to his bathroom. Looking at himself in the mirror and staring at his complexion.
His dark black hair disheveled all over his face, his cheeks and face puffy while his lips pull into a soft pout.
He's only wearing his flannel pants, disregarding the top as he became to hot last night to sleep, feeling suffocated as his mind ran over every thought about what would happen today.
His hand rested upon his stomach, he definitely wasn't as toned as his friends, but the slight lines of his abs always stood a little more prominent in the mornings.
He washed his face and brushed his teeth, getting ready for the day before heading out into the kitchen.
"How are you feeling today?" His mother asked and he shrugged, grabbing a piece of toast and shoving it in his mouth.
"Meh, a little nervous," he admitted. His mother knew all about what was happening- minus the visions.
"You like the girl, don't you?" She asked with a cocked eyebrow.
Renjun sighed, a heat raising to his ears as he leant back against the counter.
"Yeah," his words were simple but it made a smile form on his mother's lips.
"Then go get the girl," she said enthusiastically.
"But I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me like that."
Renjuns mother sighed, turning to face her son.
"Bear, you she has been ignoring you, what if she just scared. Go ask today if she is alright, and if she wants to be friends with you- and if she does, then take things slow. Everything will be okay."
His mother's words brought a small smile to his lips, she was right after all, maybe she was just scared.
                              "Thanks mum."
                              {}
"Okay class, now that everyone is here, I'm going to put you all Ito groups of two- they will be your buddy for today. You can not lose them, leave them or change buddies. Otherwise I will be mad, am I clear?" The teacher asked, a orchestra of 'yes sirs' filled the air and he nodded in approval.
"Great, now Let's get this started," he said, starting to list of names and Renjun watched as various peers started getting into their buddy groups.
"How you feelin?" Jeno whispered, leaning over to Renjun.
"A little nervous, did Jae ask?" And it was as if on cue, the teacher called out-
                              "Miss Jihyun, and Mr Renjun."
"Yep, he did," Jeno winked at him and slapped him on the back slightly as he turned around, eye line falling straight at Jihyuns.
She looked stiff, nervous, and unimpressed. Renjun took a deep breath in and began walking towards the girl.
Once he stood in front of her, more nerves began to kick in.
                              "So I guess we're buddies."
                              "I guess we are."
