He got off of the Hogwarts Express and in British tradition it was raining, so everyone was running to the carriages. Fred lifted his robes over the two us us to try and keep us dry, although it wasn't very successful.

We get into a carriage and we are all soaked down to the bone.

"I'm freezing," Melody says to all of us.

"Come here." Jack brings her into a hug in an attempt to warm her up.

Fred pulls me into his side to do the same.

We arrive at Hogwarts in front of the great oak doors, we hurried up the stairs trying not to slip up them. We arrived safely into the hall which was lit up with torches. When I saw a a water balloon fall from the ceiling and I jump back just in time.

"Agh!" Angelina shrikes, as the water ballon landed straight in front of her covering her in cold water.

I look up to see Peeves, clearly the one behind the water balloons.

We make it into the Great Hall shivering as I sit next to Fred.

"I hope this sorting ceremony goes quickly, I want to eat then have a hot shower." I say shivering.

"Same, surely we can't sit here for ages this cold." Melody says, Jack then whispers something in Melody's ear and she goes a slight shade of red and a smile appears on her face.

"Godric, you too are more clingy than usual," Fred says to the pair who clearly notices what I did.

"Just as much as you and y/n." Jack says smirking.

"Hang on, did youse?" I question them both giving them a look.

"Who done what?" George asks cutting off his conversation with Lee.

"Ask them." Fred tells him and Lee and George are now looking at the pair.

"Well stuff finally happened over-" Jack starts saying.

"Stuff?" Lee asks puzzled before coming to the realisation. "Oh, Oh! So what-"

Before Lee could finish the doors of the Great Hall opened and Professor McGonagall was walking into the Hall with first years in tow behind her.

"Aww bless them, there soaked." Melody says, as the tiny first years walked through the hall shivering.

Professor McGonagall then placed a stool in front of the first years and the sorting hat on top of it. For a moment there was silence and everyone stared at the thing before it started singing:

"A thousand years or more ago,
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizard of renown,
Whose names are still well known:
Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin, from fen.
They shared a wish, a hope, a dream,
They hatched a daring plan
To educate young sorcerers
Thus Hogwarts School began.
Now each of these four founders
Formed their own house, for each
Did value different virtues
In one they had to teach.
By Gryffindor, the bravest were
Prized far beyond the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
Loved those of great ambition.
While still alive the did divide
Their favourites from the throng,
Yet how to pick the worthy ones
When they were dead and gone,
'Twas Gryffindor who found the way,
He whipped me off his head
The founders put some brains in me
So I could choose instead!
Now slip me snug about your ear,
I've never yet been wrong,
I'll have a look inside your mind
And tell where you belong!"
