Chapter 12 ~ Banished

Gwaine and I were pacing around the room.

"Merlin should be back by now," Gwaine says.

"I know," Gaius says.

"I'm gonna go see what's going on," Gwaine says.

"Do you even know where to go?" I ask.

"No, but I'll find it," Gwaine says.

"That will take too long; I'm coming," I say.

"No! it's too dangerous," Gwaine says.

"I don't care; Merlin is my brother I'm going," 

I turn and walk to the door. I hear Gwaine's footsteps behind me.

"Gwaine, Olivia!" Gaius shouts.

We both ignore him.

I lead Gwaine to Oswalds room. We walk in and see Oswald with a sword.

"Is there a problem here?" Gwaine asks.

"No. Now, leave, but the girl can stay," Oswald says.

Gwaine grabs my arm and pulls me behind him.

"You all right, Merlin?" Gwaine asks.

Merlin shakes his head and mouths no.

"I thought I told you to leave," Oswald snaps.

"I wasn't talking to you," Gwaine says.

"How dare you speak to a knight like that!" Sir Ethan snaps.

Ethan holds his sword up, Gwaine draws his sword, and they begin fighting; I back away and stand next to Merlin. Gwaine does this cool thing with his sword and disarms Ethan.

Oswald goes for Gwaine.

"Careful!" I shout.

"Don't worry. I can handle this thug," Gwaine says.

Ethan gets back up, and Gwaine knocks him in the head with his face. Oswald goes for him again.

"Watch out!" I shout.

Gwaine turns and knocks Oswald's sword out of his hand. Gwaine was holding the sword to Oswald. 

Sir Leon and a few guards walk in. Leon looks at us, then to Gwaine and Oswald.

"What's going on?" Leon asks.

Gwaine turns and looks at him; Oswald hits Gwaine.

"This man attacked me. I demand an audience with the king." Oswald snaps.

Merlin Gaius and I were walking to the audience Oswald wanted with Uther.

"It's not Sir Oswald. It's that thug from the tavern, Dagger," Merlin says. "He's using a magical crystal to change his appearance."

We walk behind the two guards dragging Gwaine; once they were in front of Uther, they force him to his knees.

"Sire, this man attacked me with a sword, tried to kill me," Oswald says.

Uther looks flabbergasted; he looks at Gwaine, "Is this true?"

"I stepped in to protect Merlin and Olivia," Gwaine says.

Gaius looks at us.

"I tried to talk to him. He was like a man possessed. I'm sure that Sir Ethan will back me up," Oswald says.

"Indeed, I can vouch for his every word," Ethan says.

Gwaine stands up. "You're a liar!"

"I will have your tongue!" Uther shouts. "How dare you speak to a knight in that way!"
