"Today is the day," Jackie whispered, fiddling with a box. He smiled softly at it and put it in his pocket. The sound of a door-knocking made him freeze. He turned and quickly ran to it and threw it over.

"Hey Jackie," Marvin said with a smile.

Jackie gulped. "H-hi Marvin," Jackie whispered.

Marvin smiled. "You can't already be breathless. We haven't even gone on the date yet."

Jackie nodded and walked out of the house, shutting the door behind him. "So where are we going. And how are we going? Rooftop or magic?"

Marvin laughed. "We can take the car hero."

Jackie flushed and nodded. "Sorry I just-"

Marvin kissed him quickly. "I know we usually go weird places. And they're fun, they really are. I was just thinking about going on a picnic in the park."

Jackie nodded and grinned. "Sounds wonderful."

Marvin laughed and Jackie poked at his sandwich. "Forgive me if I don't want to become your next experiment."

"Two years of dating and you still don't trust me?"

"No no no I trust you I just don't trust your cooking."

Marvin hummed and ran a hand through Jackie's hair. "I don't either. But you always eat it."

"I'd do anything for you."

Marvin blushed and nodded. Jackie looked away and sat up. He kneeled, getting on one knee. He took a deep breath and looked into Marvins eyes. "I really mean it, Marvin."

"Jackie?"

"I've loved you since the day I had to save you from that building you set on fire. I really want to be with you forever," he said and pulled the box out of his pocket. He opened it, revealing a ring. "Will you marry me?"

Marvin covered his mouth failing to hold in a giggle. "Marv?"

Marvin reached into the picnic basket and pulled out a small box as well. He opened it to reveal another ring. "I was thinking the same thing," the magician said.

Jackie laughed. "Oh my god."

"So I guess it's a yes."

Jackie nodded. "Yes."

Marvin nodded as well and pulled Jackie in for a kiss. "I love you, my hero," Marvin whispered.

"And I love you too my magician."
