Izuku's POV:

It was Sunday morning. I was packing up my bag before I had breakfast. After checking that I had everything, I went to the kitchen where I saw my bagged lunch on the counter and breakfast set up on the table. Mom was already eating and she had turned on the television to watch the news. I sat down in front of her as I then ate my breakfast. While we were eating, we heard the news channel got cut off by breaking news.

TV: "It would seem that the villainous group, "The Awakeners", have struck again yesterday. It was reported in China that while the heroes were busy putting out fires in Suzhou due to an unknown explosion, which is believed to be the work of the Awakeners, the group had taken out several pro-heroes on the job with some civilian casualties. Amidst the chaos, many buildings were destroyed as collateral and the 10th largest support gear distributor in China had multiple of its buildings destroyed in the process. Unfortunately, none of the assailants were caught due to their gears allowing them to escape before backup could arrive. It is unknown for the purpose of this group or where they get their gear, but one thing is for certain, wherever they are, they love to cause mayhem. This is Daikaku Miyagi singing off." The screen then cuts off and returned to the normal broadcasting station.

Inko: "Oh dear, hopefully, they are caught before more trouble are put in danger." she said as she cupped her cheek, worried for the casualties that had pursued in China.

I stood there as I watched the screen in awe. The group had appeared around a year ago, causing mayhem on a monthly basis. I had taken down notes of every event that had happened on the news and the Awakeners had caught my attention. Their quirks don't seem powerful, but due to their tactics and gear, they are able to outmaneuver many pro-heroes. The gear they had seemed way too sophisticated for a common black market dealer to get, especially since the gear worked too perfectly with their quirks, showing how they were probably custom-made by a third party.

I took out my notebook from my bag as I had then written down what the battle scene had looked like while it was still fresh in my head so that I may. I had written down any discerning marks left on the battlefield besides the ones made by the heroes in hope of trying to find out more about this group, and unknowingly, I was muttering out what I was writing in my notebooks.

Inko: "Sweetie, isn't it time for you to leave for work?" she asked concerningly.

I immediately stopped writing and quickly looked at the clock. I was 5 minutes late for me to be on my way to work. I quickly shut my notebook and dropped it in my bag while I quickly gobbled up my breakfast. I then got up and headed for the door as I grabbed my lunch on the way and said thanks to my mom for the meal, but my mouth was too full for any comprehensive words to come out.

Inko: "Have a safe trip and don't overwork yourself!" she yelled before I slammed the door shut on my way out.

I quickly ran through the streets so that I wouldn't miss the train. I had arrived at the train station on time, right before the doors closed behind me. I then sigh in relief as I had just barely made it onto the train. I took a seat as I then opened my notebook to finish writing down my notes on the recent attack in China.

I had checked in at the reception desk and was about to enter the laboratory, but I heard shouting coming from inside of the room. Curious, I put my ear directly on the door to listen in on what they were saying.

Satoshi: "Sir, what you're asking is unreasonable!"

Fumihiro: "I don't care. You have two weeks to get this done, otherwise, I'm cutting your paycheck!"

I then heard him storm off as he got closer to the door. I quickly backed away from the door as soon as I heard the doorknob turning and revealed Fumihiro-san clearly unhappy. He noticed me near the doorway but didn't say a word as he then walked away. I peeked inside to check if Nakamura-san was okay.

Satoshi: "Dam it!" as he slams the table, "I have to put in some overtime if I want to at least make half of the quota before the deadline." he then sighs as he walks to his chair and laid back on it, clearly exhausted by Fumihiro-san's orders.

I walked inside, which immediately got his attention.

Izuku: "What was all that about?" I asked nervously. He stared at me, considering whether he should tell me or not, which made me more nervous. He then sighs.

Satoshi: "You know the wrist launcher we made two months ago which can shoot out anything the size of a marble?" I nodded along, "Well, a buyer showed interest in them and wants a hundred of them in two weeks, which Tanaka-san agreed to. The problem is those aren't in mass production due to how few heroes there are who need a gadget that shoots something so small. So there is practically none available and he wants a hundred of them in two weeks. And everybody else is busy with their own projects, so I'm alone by myself in this" He sighs again as he then grabs his energy drink from the table and takes a quick sip of it.

I started thinking about how it'll be possible to get a hundred done in two weeks, which only led me to one solution.

Izuku: "I can help if you want?"

Satoshi: "Thanks but I don't think we can get much done in one day."

Izuku: "No, I mean I'll come in every day to help out, after training."

Satoshi: "But you're contract states that you can't do more hours then-" but I interrupted him.

Izuku: "That is if it's against my will. I'm doing this of my own volition."

Satoshi: "You won't get paid you know."

Izuku: "Consider as thanks for lending me materials for the project I was working on, even though I haven't told you the details of the project in question."

While he tried to come up with another excuse to make sure I don't overwork myself, he sighed briefly and gave a quick chuckle before he stood up and started ruffling my hair.

Satoshi: "Thanks Midoriya." as he gave a light smile. I gave a wide smile as he continues ruffling my hair. "Now then, Let's get to work." He lets go of my head and walks over to his desk.

I nod as I set down my bag and went over to the parts we need to complete our task.

Author's Note:

Just in case there is confusion about transportation, Izuku walks to school, takes a train to get to Akio's Dojo/house, to work, and to meet Mei at the forest, and takes a Limo that is sent by the company to take him to Yaoyorozu's mansion in order to give off a nice appearance in front of the Yaoyorozu's. Anyway, that's all for today, thanks for reading and have a wonderful day.

Self Reminder: Izuku is in his 3rd year of Elementary, 8 years old but his birthday is coming up in July. Current month, April.
