Izuku's POV:

After we had finished training Yaoyorozu's quirk a bit more, we had started doing hand-to-hand combat. We followed the same rules as before where she tries to knock me out of the ring or pins me down and vice versa. We had multiple rounds sparring against each other, each time ending in her loss but she takes my advice very seriously and slightly improves her fighting style each time. The day ended with her completely exhausting herself while I was writing in my notebook of my observation of her for the day.

The Yaoyorozu's driver parked outside the mansion waiting for me. I told him to just drop me off at home so that he wouldn't be able to tell Miss Yaoyorozu that I'm working off-hours. Once I was dropped at the apartment building, I quickly ran to the train station to help out Nakamura-san. Once I had arrived at the lab as I was exhausted from running, Nakamura-san looked surprised to see me.

Satoshi: "Midoriya? What are you doing here?" he asked, confused.

Izuku: "I'm here to help out." I said in between breaths

Satoshi: "Today is an official workday for you, but not for here. You should rest after working so hard, besides, you'll be here to help me out tomorrow either way."

Izuku: "What about you? Isn't it hypocritical of you to say that even though I know that you'll continue working without me?"

Satoshi: "I'm an adult. I had many years to get used to overworking. For a young kid like yourself, you're still growing, if you keep over-exerting yourself now, it'll negatively affect you in the long run. The only reason why I was okay with you working on weekdays was that I made sure that you left by 8. It's 8 now and you're currently exhausted. You won't be of any help tomorrow if you can't do anything tomorrow. Besides, working long hours like these bring up some sentimental memories of how I used to work with Benjiro-san when we were so excited to complete our projects."

Izuku: "O-Okay." I said sadly.

Satoshi: "Sorry that you came here for nothing." He then reaches into his wallet, "but here's 3,000 yen for the trip and a little extra for you to get something to eat."

I took the money as I then said thanks. I went back home that day, but instead of resting, I decided to work on Mei's gift. I had already gotten all the hardware prepared, but I still needed to work on the software. So I used the remaining time I had left to work on the present before going to sleep.

The rest of the week went by with nothing out of the ordinary. I had arrived earlier at the lab on Sunday to have more hours to help Nakamura-san, and also went home late. The weekdays followed the same pattern of me attending school, attending vigorous training with sensei after class ended, helping Nakamura-san after training, and once I got home, I continued working on Mei's gift.

It was now Thursday. As soon as the class had ended, I rushed back home so that I could get ready earlier. She said to wear casual clothes, so I wore a white T-shirt that had the word "T-Shirt" written on it, some jeans, and my favorite red pair of shoes. I grabbed Mei's wrapped present, some smoke pellets in a vial, and some cash just in case.

She had said to meet her at the park near where we had first met, so I took the train to get there. When I arrived, I didn't see her there. I checked the clock that was near the walkway into the park and it said that it was 3:46, 14 minutes earlier than the time I was supposed to meet Mei. So I had waited there doing nothing since I left the UCS at home since I wasn't sure if it was okay to bring it without it being exposed to other people.

After twenty minutes had passed, I could see Mei running at me as she was in a hurry. I wanted to greet her but she grabbed my hand as she then started dragging me.

Mei: "Sorry Muscles, but we are in a bit of a hurry." She says as she continues dragging me.

She pulled me to a white car where I could see two people in the front waiting for someone. Mei quickly opened the door as she then shoved me in and then came in through the door herself.

Izuku: "Um, what's going on?" I was so confused by what's going on.

The woman in front had long curly pink hair and the man at the driver's seat had blue dreadlocks. The woman turned around and I saw that she had green eyes.

???: "So Mei, this is the friend you were talking about?" she asks.

Mei: "Yeah mom." She instantly replied.

Izuku: 'Mom!' I thought, 'Then the man in the driver's seat must be her dad.'

Her mom then turned to me as she then began inspecting me, which made me nervous. Her eyes lit up, making me even more worried. Once her eyes stopped glowing, she looked extremely happy.

MH(Mommy Hatsume): "Our daughter has found a good friend!" she cries out as she vigorously shakes her husband.

Izuku: "Huh?" I said, confused.

Mei: "My mom's quirk is called Aura. She is able to discern the personalities of a person based on the color they give out. Color variation plays a role in this since the shade of the color can be interrupted as different things." she says, answering my question.

MH: "Yeah sorry about that. I have trust issues with people who my daughter tries to befriend." she says sadly, not going into too much detail about it.

Mei: "Well what do you think about him, dad?" Her dad takes a look at the rearview mirror as he starts examining me.

DH(Daddy Hatsume): "I can see why you call him muscles." which slightly embarrassed me, "If your mother says that he's a good boy then I trust her judgment." which earned him a hug from his wife but his face looked unfazed.

MH: "Aww, thanks honey." she says cuddling him, still looking unfazed by it.

Izuku: "So where are you heading off to?" I was curious as to why we were in a car if we weren't heading off to somewhere far.

MH: "You didn't tell him?"

Mei*Slightly laughs*: "I somewhat forgot as I was too busy dragging him all the way here." she says, making her mother sigh.

MH: "Well we are heading off to the new exhibit that opened a few months ago that shows the technological gadgets that both old and current heroes use."

The mention of going to a hero exhibit got me so excited that I didn't know that it was showing on my face.

Mommy Hatsume POV:

MH: 'Now I know why she didn't stick to her usual gift. Hehehe, looks like it'll be a fun trip.'
