MH POV:

It's been a few days since I told my daughter that she should make her babies more fashionable. She avoided talking to me and only gives me a minimal response whenever I ask her for something.

It was currently Friday, the day where she meets the boy and when she hands off the invitation to him. I was in the living room working on redesigning one of the suits that were sent to me for revisions, but my head was too cloudy to think properly as I was trying to think of a way to make up with my daughter. Meanwhile, my husband was doing laundry and also patching up the ripped clothes from Mei's clothes from the times they were destroyed from her explosions.

MH: "I could fix that you know?" I said to him, hoping to distract myself from work and the tension between me and Mei.

DH: "I know." was the only thing he said, leading the conversation into dead silence.

MH:  "Then why are you doing it?" I asked.

DH: "You are busy with work. I could afford you to be distracted by something so trivial." he says as he continues sewing, which made me irritated.

MH: "TRIVIAL!" I yelled as I then got up to snatch the clothing from him as I then hurriedly sewed the tear, but in the process, I punctured myself with the needle. "Ow!" as I then dropped both the shirt and the needle.

My husband was already prepared with an emergency kit as he then wipes off the excess blood and then places a band-aid on it.

DH: "What's bothering you? You never mess up something when it comes to clothes." he says as he picks up the shirt and places it on the table and makes me sit down on the couch with him.

MH *Sighs*: "I may have criticized our daughter about the way her designs look and how it should be more appealing so that consumers will be more likely to buy it. Part of being a hero is appearance, which is why my job exists." I was leaning forward as I was regretting telling off how her babies should look. I then hear my husband lightly chuckling while looking away. "What's so funny?"

He continued laughing until he slowly calmed down.

DH: "Out of the many things our daughter could have inherited, she was born to be as blunt as you." he says while laughing.

MH: "And what's that supposed to mean?" I asked somewhat insulted as I was pouting.

He begins patting my head and gave me a warm smile.

DH: "You both don't know when to stop. Mei is straightforward about her inventions while you are straightforward about your designs." he then takes his hand off my head and holds my hand. "You both are very passionate about what you love, but in return, you become somewhat blindsided by how those affect others. You need to learn how to draw the line between your passion and your social life." as he then begins caressing the back of my hand.

MH: "I just want to make sure that our daughter will have a bright future." I said somewhat depressed.

DH: "She's still a kid. No matter how much of a genius she is when it comes to inventing something, she's still a child. She has not yet experienced what reality is like, so let her enjoy these moments of her youth before it's too late. So for now, just apologize and let her imagination run free" as he then kisses my hand that is holding my hand.

MH: "Thanks, I needed to hear that." while I was cupping his cheek with my free hand. I then start to giggle a little bit, "Now why can't you be this talkative when others are around." which causes him to tense up and look away.

DH: "Y-You know I h-have social anxiety." he says stuttering.

MH: "Than am I the special exception?" I whisper very closely into his ear, causing him to be blushing red as he then stood up and grabbed the shirt on the table, and turns to me with his face looking stoic, meaning that he is currently doing his best to hide his emotions.

DH: "I'm going to our room to finish this." he says in a gruff voice before leaving. I look behind the couch to see him leave the room, but I can see the red ears as bright as day, which made me giggle as I then turned back and resumed work.

Hours passed by as I had nearly completed the new design. I was doing some light stretches before continuing on finishing the design. But before I got started, I heard the front door unlock. I quickly got off the couch as I then walked to the front entrance to see Mei looking more cheerful.

Mei: "Hey mom!" she says enthusiastically.

MH: "Hey honey, can we talk?"

Mei: "Sure," as she puts down the box of her babies.

MH: "I want to say that I'm sorry that I criticized the way your babies look without even knowing the effort you put into them. I let my work side affect my judgment. Can you forgive me?" I asked while I bowed.

Mei: "It's alright, I knew you were looking out for me. To be honest, I wanted to surprise you by showing that I can make them fashionable as the redesigns you do for your work. I didn't realize how hard it was to make it eye-catching without compromising the design." which made me slightly happy that she was trying to be like me. "Also Muscles told me that it doesn't matter what everybody thinks of my babies, just the ones that care about the purpose rather than looks are the ones I should pay attention to," she says.

MH: "That's some good advice." I said to her, happy that the boy reassured her.

A week had passed since Mei and I made up. My husband and I were watching TV while we waited for Mei to come home.

She came back earlier than usual, but she seemed very cheerful as she was humming while putting away her babies.

MH: "What's all the humming about?" I asked curiously.

Mei: "Oh, I got to meet my idol. Satoshi Nakamura-san." She says as she continues humming.

MH: "Oh I see. So hap- WAIT!. WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!" I yelled as the name had settled into my head.
