Chapter 133: (The Title)

Izuku's POV:

While I was working, I noticed something slightly different. Yesterday and today, my depth perception was off, along with the occasional loss of balance, mainly due to the loss of hearing in both ears, but I managed through by muscle memory, so it really wasn't an issue if I wasn't doing something I'm not used to, as to where I was a struggling trying to learn sign language yesterday. After equipping the hearing device that Nakamura-san gave me, I no longer struggled with trying to estimate the distance between myself and the items I'm trying to use, which is probably due to my ears being shut down by the covers and now I'm relying on the feedback of pulses that I'm receiving from the device, which made me amazed by how thorough they made sure to cover all grounds in case of hearing issues.

I could feel myself yawning on occasion as I worked on making modifications that were requested of us. After making the necessary changes, I checked with Nakamura-san to see if the design was okay. He then questioned me as he inspected the modifications I made.

Satoshi: "How is that little personal project of yours going?" he suddenly asked me, "I haven't heard of the project in a while. The last time I heard of it was probably when you asked for materials." as he closely examined the support gear.

Izuku: "It's going great! I'm nearly completely done with it!" I said excitedly despite feeling exhausted.

Satoshi: "I can't wait to see it." he says with a smile, as I smile back with excitement.

He then pointed out some things I may need to adjust with the modifications, which I calmly accepted as I then took it back and followed his advice. I was only able to make 3 complete modifications for the day, could have made 4 but I was still feeling tired and my brain was still getting used to receiving pulses to replace my hearing. I said goodbye to Nakamura-san, while he continued working, as he said goodbye to me.

Once I got home, I headed inside my room as I then took off the hearing device to see the specs, but as I did, the ringing noise sounded off inside my ear, startling me at first as I was getting used to the cancellation effect this device had. The ringing in my ear had lessened, thanks to the rejuvenating pellet, but it still deterred me from taking apart the device as it was the only one I had and Nakamura-san treasured this, so I decided to store it away for now as I waited for myself to be in top condition next time.

The 24-hour timer was up, meaning I'm able to take another pellet, which may be the last one I take since an eardrum recovery should take at least a month for a complete recovery and taking into consideration how each pellet hastens the body's regeneration capability by two weeks in a one-hour time. I opened the drawer as I once again had to scavenge through the other leftover experiment pellets I had laying around until I found the one I needed. I plop one onto my mouth as I then start up the computer. Keeping in mind the one-hour time limit, I began attempting to learn a few more sign languages.

Izuku: 'Tomorrow is going to be troublesome.' I thought to myself despite my eardrums should be fixed by tomorrow, but I'll be so tired during class and training, which only spells trouble for me.

Just like last time, I had woken up in my chair, still feeling completely drowsy and exhausted, along with the constant occurrence of some nightmare which I can't remember for some reason. I was then called for breakfast. Mom had noticed me dozing off and asked me if I was feeling fine. I told her that I had only woken up late, so I'm still feeling the morning drowsiness. I was told off how I should remember to have a good night's sleep instead of being up working since my health was more important than my work.

She later dropped me off at school, where I could hear murmurs and snickers go on as I passed by my classmates, nothing unusual and I didn't have the energy to care. As soon as I entered my classroom, I immediately headed for my seat as I then took a quick nap. I didn't have the pleasantry of having a long nap as it was cut short by Ka-cchan, as he smacked his hand on my table, stirring myself to wake up.

Katsuki: "Are you having a nice nap, buddy?" he asks in a threatening tone.

Izuku: "O-Oh hey Ka-chan." I said to him as I yawned, my brain not yet processing what's happening.

Kaa-chan looked slightly perturbed as I probably didn't cower or flinch in his presence. I then realized who I was talking to as my body started shaking as I slightly turned to Ka-cchan.

Izuku: "H-Hey Ka-cchan." I said in a more scared tone, causing him to smile.

He then left feeling satisfied as I sigh in relief that he didn't do anything else. The school bell rang and everyone stood up from their seats, while I struggled to have my body keep itself up, as we then greeted the teacher. During the school day, the teacher seemed to notice how tired I was as they kept calling on me whenever I was about to snooze off, disrupting any time I had to recover my energy. Even during lunch, I didn't have the pleasure to rest as I was harassed by my classmates.

When school ended, I tiredly packed up and tried to leave, but I was then surrounded by Ka-cchan and his friends.

Katsuki: "You have a lot of nerve dozing off in class." he said in a pissed off tone while his friends nodded along, "Because of you, the teacher had to stop multiple times during their lesson, which causes problems for us." as the others nodded along, "So how about we help wake you up?" as everyone grinned.

I was close to collapsing to the ground, ready to sleep, but as soon as I shut my eyes, I realized I was behind Ka-chan as they all looked at me, surprised. Since I was no longer surrounded and I didn't want to miss out on Sensei's training, I ran the best I could, despite feeling like my body could shut down at any moment.

No one's POV:

Right before Katsuki and his friends could gang up on Izuku, Izuku's demeanor changed for a quick second, causing everyone to tense up, as Izuku then jumped over Katsuki while doing a flip in mid-air and landed. Izuku then returned to his usual self as he looked confused but took the chance to run away.

Katsuki and his gang were shocked that Izuku was able to do something like that.

Friend#2: "D-Did we see that right?" one of them questions in denial while Katsuki looked even more pissed as he refused that Izuku was capable of anything.

Katsuki: "GET HIM!" he yells out, startling his gang before they all gave chase.
