Chapter 101: Located

Izuku's POV:

I had played with Ichika while I waited for notifications about the drone's findings of the cars. It took hours until the first notification popped up on the UCS. I was hoping that I would get lucky and the drone would find the car that took Yaoyorozu-san away. I quickly halted with playing with Ichika as I then looked at what the first drone found. Apparently, one of the cars that were on the list belonged to a small new company that was doing rounds of introducing themselves to other companies. I knew it was wishful thinking to be that lucky in finding the kidnapper's car right away but I didn't give up.

I then felt daggers piercing me from behind; I quickly turn around to see that Ichika was angry that I ruined the playtime.

Ichika: "YOU BROKE OUT OF CHARACTER!" she yells fiercely.

Izuku: "I-I'm sorry." I said timidly as I noticed the small potted flower she had on her window sill started growing rapidly and crept its way in my direction.

Ichika: "I think it's time for punishment." she said eerily as the stems of the flower coiled back and slowly wrapped themselves around Ichika like a snake.

I was in deep thought as I analyzed how powerful her quirk was. I compared her power to other kids her age, where normally their output would be much smaller than hers, the same thing with Daichi. His power and control are currently more powerful than Kaa-chan's, although he is older, the gap is far wider than it should be. I drew the possibility of them being surrounded by everyday things that help them visualize what their quirks would look like and act like help improve their control.

It took a while for me to realize that my entire outfit was changed. I looked down to see a pink princess dress way too tight on me and the seams already pushed to their limits and a crown on top of my head. My face grew red from embarrassment as I tried to cover myself up. I then heard giggling coming from the other side of the room. I turned to see Ichika covering her mouth up as the elongated stems behind her had my clothes.

Ichika: "Wo-Would the pri-princess like some tea?" She said in between laughs as she tried so hard to hold it in.

Izuku: "I-Ichika. I-I'm sorry f-for ruining playtime. But it was important." but as soon as I said it, her laughter soon turned to her glaring back at me.

Ichika: "You're saying that whatever is on that stupid device is more important than playing with me?"

Izuku: "Ye-Yeah? I-I need to-" I said nervously, but then the stems behind her grew even larger as they looked prepared to attack me at any moment, "N-No." I promptly said back to her, which made her slowly calm down as the stem slowly returned back to normal but she still didn't like how I first responded as she was crossing her arms.

Ichika: "Good. Now would the princess like some tea?" she asked threateningly.

I submissively nodded my head yes as I then took a seat while she poured out some tea. I was silent for the entire time whenever Ichika tried to strike up a conversation while in character since I was anxious about what the drones would find and also too embarrassed to speak while wearing a dress.

Ichika: "If you're not going to play the part, then what's the point in having you play with me?" she asks, irritated.

Izuku: "I-I'm sorry." I said timidly, which only irritated me further.

Ichika: "If you're not going to talk to me in character, then might as well talk about something that interests you."

I thought for a while to think about what topic that might distract me from worrying too much, then a question popped into my head that I never bothered asking any of the Tanakas.

Izuku: "Who's your favorite pro-hero?" I asked.

Ichika: "Miruko." she said nonchalantly while she poured a drink for herself.

Izuku "Isn't that the pro-hero that debuted a few months ago?" I questioned, which she nodded her head, yes to, "What about her do you like?" I asked to keep the flow of the conversation going.

Ichika: "She's cool, confident, and isn't afraid of what anyone has to say about her." she said as her tone had a slight change showing that she truly admired her.

I kept the conversation going by giving the interesting facts that I learned about her, which seemed to pique her interest, not realizing how much time had passed.

Daichi: "Hey Izuku. I've been looking for y-" he said as he opened the door to me still wearing the princess dress while talking to Ichika over a toy tea set. "I-I see you're busy. C-Carry on," he said, holding in his laughter as he closed the door.

Izuku: "Wait! Let me explain!" I said trying to get up but the dress started ripping, causing me to fall to the ground.

I was left with tears in the dress while Ichika was laughing at the whole thing. I was left embarrassed by how the whole day went.

I left the house after I got my clothes back from Ichika and explained to Daichi how I came home early and needed the drones to search for Yaoyorozu-san. While I was on the train back home, I checked the notifications on the UCS to see what the drones found. They managed to find more than half of the cars on the list, but as I looked into it more, all of the cars belonged to regular people and none of them had any criminal records that could point to them doing any kidnapping. I slowly started doubting myself of the possibility of finding her since I slowly came up with other ideas of how she could have been taken away, such as teleportation, taking her to rooftops, and many other means besides driving. I went back home, not hoping for the best results for tomorrow.

When I woke up the next day, I looked at the notifications on the UCS to see that all but two were found, and when I looked into them, nothing that could lead back to them kidnapping Yaoyorozu-san.

Inko: "Izuku! Breakfast is ready!" She called for me.

I ate breakfast with her, feeling bummed out about how everything I did may seem hopeless and I should just let the police and pro-heroes do their job. Mom noticed how upset I was and tried to ask what was wrong, but I didn't even respond.

After school ended, the last two cars were found by the drones. One of the vehicles was a shipping van that delivers flowers from a small flower shop. I didn't feel like seeing what the last drone found since everything so far didn't seem to work but I checked it to see how much I messed up. That's when I saw that the car was from China and it was reported missing based on the license plates. I took over the drone that was near the area and flew through the broken window of the warehouse that the vehicle was in and began searching. I looked around to see a group of criminal-looking people watching the news when one of them got up and grabbed a bottle of water and a bag of chips as he headed for a metallic door. I positioned the drone to get a better angle of what was behind the metallic door. When he opened it, I saw a girl in a dirty dress with a black ponytail through the screen.

Izuku: 'I found you!" I said inside of my head as I was joyful that I found her.
