Izuku's POV:
I was inside Yaoyorozu's room, getting my things together. I heard someone knocking on the doorframe behind me, making me turn around to see Miss Yaoyorozu with her arms crossed.
MY: "Leaving so soon?" she questions as I can see it in her eyes that she worries for me.
Izuku: "Yeah. I'm feeling better after having some of the tea that Yaoyorozu offered and chatting with her." I said as I finally had everything in my backpack.
MY: "Okay, but you better not collapse again in the future. Otherwise, I'll have to call your mother to let her know that you collapse on a regular basis."
Izuku: "I know." I said apologetically as I was about to walk through the door but I was blocked by her.
MY: "I mean it." as she had a serious look on your face, "If you are being forced to overexert yourself, I can get some people to sue those who are giving you unfair hours." suggesting that Tanaka Corporations is forcing me to work hours that my body isn't able to handle.
Izuku: "I was not forced to do anything. I was busy helping out my friends while also keeping up my own thing. I just underestimated the limits of my body." I said to her, still having her doubts but she reluctantly accepted it.
She stepped out of the room, insinuating that she wanted to walk with me towards the entrance. We walked side by side, not speaking to each other until I saw Yaoyorozu waiting near the entrance for me.
Momo: "See you next week. And Take better care of yourself." as she waved me off.
Izuku: "I will." as I waved back before getting into the limo as we drove out of the Yaoyorzu property.
I was dropped off at the apartment. I opened the door to see that mom was in the middle of cooking.
Inko: "You're home a bit early." she said, delighted to see me as I set my bag in front of my room.
Izuku: "Happy to be back early as well." I said back to her, hiding that the real reason I'm here early is due to me collapsing and having no other purpose for being there. "Is there something you need help with?"
She stopped to ponder for a moment, trying to figure out what is a safe thing for me to do.
Inko: "Could you help set the plates?" to which I nodded as I then grabbed a stepping stool to reach for the cabinets as I then set up the dinner table. We had a nice night of eating dinner and talking with each other, leaving out some events that may cause her to worry more.
After dinner, I went inside of my room to review some materials that I may have forgotten due to me being busy with training, Mei's gift, and helping Nakamura-san. I spent a rough hour and a half before I was able to relearn the lessons that I left midway through before the busy week had started. After seeing the time being around 9:30, I washed myself up and headed to bed.
I woke up the next day and got ready for work. When I got there, I saw Nakamura-san sleeping at his desk as he was in the middle of working. I put my lab coat over him as a substitute blanket as I then went over the file for how many wrist launchers were left, seeing that only 16 were left. I quietly worked as I heard Nakamura-san's snore in the background. It had been 3 hours since I came in and I was on my 4th wrist launcher, but Nakamura-san had yet to awaken. I was about to walk towards my bag to get myself a snack but I accidentally bumped into the table, startling Nakamura-san up.
Satoshi: "I'm not sleeping! I was just resting my eyes." he tried rubbing his eyes open as he then looked around the lab to see me near the table as I was reaching for my bag. "Midoriya? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be coming in tomorrow? Why are you here so late?" as he was unaware of what time it was due to fatigue.
Izuku: "Actually, it's 13:00 on a Sunday." I corrected him, as he looked shocked and pulled out his phone to check the date.
Satoshi: "I WAS ASLEEP FOR THIRTEEN HOURS! It was only supposed to be a light nap" he yelled as it slowly turned into a complaint and quickly got back to working on the wrist launcher he slept on.
He was super focused on working on the wrist launcher in order to make up for lost time, while I also continued focusing on finishing the wrist launcher. We spent 6 hours working nonstop until we had finished the last ones. We had leaned against our chairs as we were exhausted.
Satoshi: "I can't wait to go home." He cheered as he slowly turned his head towards me, "And thanks for everything Midoriya." he smiled.
Izuku: "It was nothing compared to all those materials you gave me."
Satoshi: "Not like we are currently using them." as he laughed.
We then heard a knock at the door, causing us to recede our conversation. Nakamura-san got up and opened the door, which was revealed to be Fumihiro-san.
Fumihiro: "Today is the last day for those wrist launchers to be due. Have many have you made so far? Half?" he said mockingly, as if he knew that Nakamura-san wouldn't be able to finish the order by himself, "I suppose I can give you another two weeks, that will cost you though due to a late order." as he looked smug about it.
Satoshi: "Actually, everything had just been completed." he said, looking like he wanted to rub it in his face even more.
Fumihiro: "How?" he asked surprised but Nakamura-san looked hesitant to reply.
Izuku: "I helped him nearly every day during my off time." I answered for him, making Fumihiro-san turn in my direction and Nakamura-san had a worried look.
Fumihiro: "You helped him during off-hours?" he questions, making me nod in confirmation. "You know that you won't get paid for overtime for hours I didn't assign you."
Izuku: "I was just helping a friend."
Fumihiro: "Helping a friend I see." as he had a smug look on his face, confused as to why he smiled like that.
Before he could get another word out, he was dragged out of the lab by Nakamura-san as he shut the door behind me.
No one's POV:
Satoshi dragged Fumihiro far enough away from Izuku's hearing distance as he then pinned him against the wall.
Satoshi: "What are you planning?!" He asked angrily.
Fumihiro: "Nothing. Just needed you to do another big order since you had this one completed. And who knows, that boy may help you out again." he said sinisterly.
Satoshi: "You can not force that boy to-"
Fumihiro: "Who said anything about forcing? He's just doing it out of the kindness of his heart, which I don't get to pay for." as he smiled devilishly.
Satoshi: "Why are you doing this?" he asked as he grabbed him by the collar and shoved him against the wall harder.
Fumihiro: "If somebody had only agreed to the big project that is currently being developed-"
Satoshi: "I won't work on something like that for you! That is military-grade weaponry, not something heroes use." He complained.
Fumihiro: "Fine by me. I'll just make you work on more stuff, after all, I can't put such talent into waste."
Satoshi was boiling with rage as he was bewildered that his boss would use such underhanded tricks to make him work on the project, but he was willing to use the child as well. Although he wanted to punch him, he only sighed as he doesn't have any power in the business world and he'll only get in trouble if he does use any more force than he has already used.
Satoshi: "What if I decided to join the group project?" he asked, wanting to protect Midoriya, which only made Fumihiro grin.
Fumihiro: "Then it would look like the boy will only have to come into the building once a week."
Satoshi: "Fine! I agree to join the project. But don't think about using that kid!" as he let go of Fumihiro and headed back to the lab.
Fumihiro was fixing his clothes as he was smiling sinisterly.
Fumihiro: 'That was shorter than expected. I thought it would have taken at least a year to make him join the project. That boy is showing his worth even more.' he thought before he walked through the hallway as he whistled.
