Izuku's POV:
The shame of losing wasn't easily let go by others. Throughout the rest of the day, they kept mocking me at how pathetic I was. Even Ka-cchan was glaring at me, probably disappointed with how pathetic I made myself to be.
When the school had ended, I immediately packed up my things as I headed straight home so that I could get myself ready for the party.
Katsuki: "Hey Deku." he called out to me, but I only ignored him. I could hear his voice get louder and angrier as I continued walking away. It would be better for him to be furious with me tomorrow rather than him being in a bad mood today as I had something important today.
I sprinted my way back home so that I could quickly clean myself and dress. Once I got home and cleaned myself, I put on my suit, tied my tie like how Nakamura-san had taught me, put on my cufflinks, and combed my hair. I also hid the UCS under my sleeve as it was the closest thing I had to a phone. I quickly grabbed the present, placed the invitation inside my suit jacket, as I then reviewed the transportation I needed to get to the party. When I got downstairs, I saw the limo that usually drives me to Daichi's house, with the driver waiting on the side as he was about to take a smoke.
Izuku: "What are you doing here?' I questioned as I looked to the side as the present was blocking my view.
LD: "I'm here to give you a ride. You didn't expect to just walk up there did you?" he says to me as he puts back the cigarette into his pocket while I nervously laughed, causing him to stare back with a "really" face as I soon stopped my laughter. "Anyways, you got here sooner than I expected." as he then opened the door to the backseat, "Get in," he commanded, making me swiftly get in and take a seat as I placed the present next to me. The driver then got to the driver's seat as he buckled himself in, took a quick look at the rearview mirror, and drove.
Izuku: 'I really have to thank Daichi after this." I thought to myself as the UCS, the lessons, the suit, the present, and the ride were all provided by him. He does so many things for me, which made me determined to pay back his kindness no matter what.
The drive was a long ride as the location was in a different city, but when we were nearing the destination, I saw other limos and luxury cars that were parked as we drove by, reinforcing the fact that I was entering a party for the high class. We stopped in front of a mansion, which was not as big as Yaoyorozu-san's mansion, but it was still bigger than the apartment complex I live in.
The driver got out of the driver's seat and walked to my door to open it, allowing me to take in full view of how the rich set their parties, which was nothing in comparison to how Daichi and Ichika celebrate their birthdays despite being niblings of Mister Tanaka-sama. The driver cleared his throat to get my attention, stirring me up from being amazed, as I quickly turned around to grab the present and got out of the car.
LD: "You have the invitation?" he questions as I then nodded back to him as I slipped out the invitation from my suit jacket and put it back, "Good. I'll be back when the party is over." as he opened the door and took his seat, but before he closed the door, "Also, the master said to have a fun time." which caught me off guard, "He says that he knows that you don't go to many parties. To forget the butler's lessons and enjoy yourself." he says to me with a smirk before closing the door and driving off, leaving me red in embarrassment.
Izuku: 'Why'd you tell him that?' as I clutch onto the present slightly tighter.
I slowly calmed my nerves as I had a job to do. Despite Daichi telling me to have fun, this was still a job, so I have to act properly and not fool around. I headed to where I could see the front entrance, where security guards were checking invitations. I took out the invitation as I then made my way to the entrance. I handed the invitation to the security guard while I was still carrying the large present with both arms.
The security guard seemed perplexed as he looked back at me then back to the card.
Security: "You're not part of the Tanaka family are you?" he questions.
Izuku: "Well no, but-" I then heard the sound of tearing.
I looked in shock as the security guard tore up my invitation and threw it in the air.
Security: "Nice try. I don't know how you got that invitation but only those that are directly related to those named in the invitation can enter." I stood there stunned as I wasn't warned about this, "Now get lost before I call the cops for stealing and trespassing. You're lucky you're a kid, otherwise, I would have called them already."
Izuku: "B-But-" I tried telling him that I was sent as a representative of the Tanaka Corporations but he threw a scary glare at me, scaring me off from the front entrance as I ran towards the streets.
Once I was far away from the front party, I stopped as I sighed. I didn't know what to do since the security guard won't let me in and if I don't make an appearance, I'll be breaking the deal I made to amend the broken contract. I was starting to panic, not sure what solution there could be.
???: "Midoriya, is that you?" a familiar voice called out, making me quickly turn to see a decorative fan being held, and right next to her was a small child with raven black hair.
Izuku: "Miss Yaoyorozu-sama! Yaoyorozu-san!" I screamed out in delight and surprise.
