Chapter 126: Testing out new Facility

Izuku's POV:

Miss Yaoyorozu-sama had finally let go of Yaoyorozu-san as they had smiled at each other.

MY: "Ready to test the new place out?" she questions, to which Yaoyorozu-san gently nodded her head yes as her eyes shined.

She started running towards me, grabbed my hand, and pulled me with her as she headed for the arena room.

Izuku: "What are we doing here?" I questioned, while she was doing some light stretches. The schedule for today would have started us with doing some training exercises that would have utilized both body movement and quirk utilization.

Momo: "Wouldn't it be a good lesson for me to understand the difference between quirk and skill? Now that you're aren't restricted to my room, you can show me how large the gap really is. After all, there's no way for me to beat you in terms of skills." She says back to me.

I was hesitant to accept her request. If I learned anything from my spars against Daichi, if we were to go all out, we would be so bruised and aching all over by the end of it. I opened my mouth, ready to reject her, but it appeared she had something else to say.

Momo: "If you accept this deal and you win, I'll get you any All Might merchandise on the market. But if I win..." she had paused for a moment, "Let's call it a surprise." she says while smiling.

I was frozen in place as soon as she offered the deal. If she said anything on the market, then maybe I can get the rare All Might merch that came before my time, which was a very exciting thing for me, but why would she offer this since none of our previous spars had ended in her winning. Although there were close calls, that was because I was holding back. I was debating whether there was going to be something fishy, but in the end, the All Might merch deal was too tempting to refuse.

Izuku: "Deal!" I said out loud to her as I reached out my hand for a handshake, which she shook my hand back, glad that I didn't turn her down. "Since I'm no longer holding back, can I use any weapons, gadgets, or anything?" I questioned.

Momo: "Sure. Heroes use support gear all the time, I don't see any difference here."

I gave a small smirk at how she's giving me every advantage. I swung my bag forward as I then grabbed four things, smoke pellets, the glasses, a drone, and the UCS. Afterward, I placed my bag right next to Miss Yaoyorozu-sama, where she was behind a spectator's box from the arena.

I did some light stretches as well before we got into our stances.

Izuku: "Ready?" I questioned her as I had the drone hovering behind me.

Momo: "Ready!" as she then pulled something from her forearm and threw it at me.

I was about to hit back what was thrown at me, but the thing had set off. I braced for impact, hearing high frequencies being set off from my glasses and the sound of the drone crashing. I quickly took off the glasses and threw them to the ground while my ears were ringing.

Izuku: "EMP bomb?" I tried questioning, but I sounded so muffled as I could barely hear myself. I saw Yaoyorozu-san nod her head yes as she smiled, making me smile as she countered my tech by using a small lesson from the circuitry lesson in making the nanobots work.

I then quickly realized what the EMP implied, so I had to quickly check on the UCS to see if it was okay. The UCS seemed to be working just fine, thankful that Daichi's dad had built in a safeguard against EMPs. I didn't have enough time to be relieved as the hair on my skin felt something was incoming.

I did my best to evade what was coming, but I was too late to realize it as the bo staff had been jabbed against my left shoulder, injuring it pretty badly. I quickly grabbed onto my left shoulder, putting pressure on the injury as I then looked back at Yaoyorozu-san to see her pulling back her bo staff and jabbing it again towards my right side.

I had to quickly leap back to avoid another injury, but when I landed back onto the ground after leaping, I noticed that she was wearing a gas mask. I quickly looked all over the room to see what she had set up, then I saw two canisters, resembling tear gas bottles, that had already been set off. I knew I didn't have much time left before my vision would also get taken away from me as we were in an enclosed space with no ventilation, meaning that soon, the tear gas will fill up the entire room. She then dropped the bo staff as she then pulled out two pistols and aimed them towards me, continuously firing rubber bullets at me as I had to swiftly dodge all of them.

Izuku: 'Merciless.' I thought to myself as I was amazed at how strategic each move was, now that she was no longer holding back.

Despite my many spars against Daichi, her quirk definitely had more utilization, making it slightly difficult to fight against her, but it didn't mean my chances of winning were completely zero.

I could no longer hear and there is limited time until I'll lose my vision to the tear gas; Yaoyorozu-san is keeping me at bay with her guns while she stays within the tear gas, and I no longer have any tech to help me accept the UCS. That's when an idea popped into my head. I quickly grabbed a few smoke pellets and threw them on the ground between me and her in the form of a line, creating a veil of smoke between us, hindering her vision from shooting at me, giving me time for my next move.

Momo's POV:
I had wanted to see the full potential that Midoriya-san has since he was a boy who's quirkless, but still manages to beat me every time we spar. I wanted to at least beat him once as he turned into a goal for me to achieve, to be as skilled as him. I had come up with a small plan to fight against him now that I can't cause any damage to my parent's mansion. The two factors that would be a big issue would be his gadgets and CQC, but I can make an EMP bomb to shut down his gadgets and I can use ranged weapons to keep him at bay while using something that would prevent him from coming closer.

The plan had worked better than expected, but I did feel bad for ruining his hearing and gadgets with the EMP, but we agreed that we wouldn't hold anything back. I had him in a tight spot until he threw his smoke pellets on the ground, preventing me from seeing where he was. I couldn't tell where he was so I slowly shot in every direction, hoping that one of them would hit him and make him react to it.

I heard something near the entrance, so I tried firing in that direction but there was no response. The tear gas had reached the veil of smoke, meaning that Midoriya-san can't be in the veil of smoke if he doesn't want to get affected by the tear gas, allowing me the opportunity to enter the veil of smoke.

I slowly walked through the veil of smoke, still being careful of where he could be as the tear gas hasn't completely been enveloped into the veil of smoke, and that's when I saw a human silhouette through the smoke. I drew my gun as I then aimed it at Midoriya-san.

Momo: "My victory." I whispered to myself as I crept the gun closer to the head, but the clang of metal could be heard as soon as my gun made contact, confusing me what was happening.

I suddenly got swept by my feet as I then dropped to the ground, dropping both my guns as I then felt my left leg is locked in and pushed against its limits.

I look back to see Midoriya-san had me pinned as he smiled.

Izuku: "NICE TRY!" he says loudly as he wasn't sure how loud he was

Despite still having the strength to fight back, it was my loss either way as I had been bested.

Momo: "You win." I solemnly said to him as I raised both my arms in defeat.
