Chapter 113: Resolved

Izuku's POV:

I quickly shot up, my breath running haggard, my body covered in sweat, and my mind was exhausted as if I had a terrible dream. I tried to remember what it was about but my memory came up blank. My eyes wander around where I was, seeing what seems to be an alley until my eyes were directed to where the once warehouse stood, burnt to the ground as policemen, firefighters, and medics were on the scene.

Izuku: "Wh-What happened?" I questioned as I started scratching my head, having only remembered that I was thrown through a pile of crates and hearing Yaoyorozu-san getting teary-eyed.

I then placed my hand on the ground, feeling something soft and hearing something groan. I looked to my left side to see that Yaoyorozu-san was right next to me and I had placed my hand on her's. My face quickly turned red as I shrieked and quickly backed away from her.

My sudden shrieking had caused her to slowly wake up. Slowly sitting straight up as she was rubbing her eyes while yawning. She looked around, seemingly not surprised that she was in an alleyway until her eyes locked onto me. There was silence for a moment, nothing but quietly staring back at each other, unsure what to say.

Momo: "Mi-Midoriya?" she questions, to which I slowly nodded back.

Small amounts of tears can be seen at the corner of her eyes as she went and hugged me, probably relieved that she was no longer with the people that kidnapped her. It was only for a few seconds that she cried on my shoulder before she got all quiet again, she quickly got off me and pushed me to the ground.

Momo: "Ho-How could you do that to me?!" She cries, seemingly upset that I had betrayed her trust entirely. "We promised each other that we wouldn't keep anything between us." but her face slowly turned more dispirited, "Right. That was also a lie as well since it was a part of your job." as her shoulders dropped and she started lightly laughing before she bit the bottom of her lip, clearly still hurting from what happened the past few days.

I searched through my pockets, seeing if I still had it on me. Once I had found it and pulled it out, I was troubled that it had gotten partially destroyed, but I could fix it later. I held out my hand as I then dropped the pendant while holding onto the cord, letting it dangle from my hand as she took small glances at the cracked pendant.

Izuku: "I may have been hired at first in order to stop you from becoming a hero, but I had always thought of you as a real friend and admired you for wanting to become a hero." which got her eyes to be more focused on me while I lowered my hand that held the necklace, "Which is why I went behind your parent's back and trained you to be a hero." which got her to look shocked.

Momo: "S-So you betrayed my parents?" she asks with a questionable look.

Izuku: "Yeah." I said a bit dejected since when they find out, it'll only bring misfortune to me. I then heard a small giggle coming from Yaoyorozu-san.

Momo: "You're either really brave or dumb to do that to my parents. But knowing you, it's probably both." she continued laughing, putting a smile on my face that she's feeling better.

She slowly reached out for the necklace in my hand and took it, closely observing the scratches and cracks on the pendant.

Izuku: "I can fix it if you want. It may take a while but I can get it done in a week." as I tried taking back the necklace but she closed her hand before I could take it.

Momo: "No." as she then places the necklace close to her heart, "It's fine the way it is. It's a good reminder of our resolved friendship." she gave a gentle smile.

I was surprised that she didn't want it fixed, but I smiled back after hearing the reason why.

No One's POV:

At the Yaoyorozu mansion, Miss Yaoyorozu was in her office, distracting herself from worry by working. She then heard the window swing open, which surprised her maid that was waiting nearby.

MY: "You may go." She ordered the maid.

The maid was still astonished by the sudden window swinging open, but she complied and quickly left the room.

MY: "Your entrance was way too abrupt." she said to seemingly no one.

Ninja: "My apologies." as he appeared out of thin air in front of her desk while taking a knee as he was holding onto someone that was struggling out of her constraints. "She wouldn't hold still for a moment." as he shoved her to the ground with disdain, angered that someone would betray their master.

MY: "Let's see what we got here." as she got up from her seat to take a closer look at her. She grabbed her by the chin, getting a better look. "Mariko Ando. If that is your real name." as she dropped her chin on the ground. "We hired you around a year ago, giving you some menial work." while she started walking around her, "How does it feel to leak information about the whereabouts of my child to kidnappers." as she then pulled her by the hair, making her groan in pain.

Mariko: "Bi-Bite me." she said back to her, trying to tough it out, which infuriated miss Yaoyorozu as she thrust her head to the ground.

MY: "No matter, I'll have him find out what you know about-" as she got up and continued her speech, but she heard something click, which made her bodyguard quickly grab her as he ran out the door.

They were caught in the blast as the ninja took most of the damage as he was sheltering Miss Yaoyorozu. They were on the ground outside of the office as the office was partially destroyed from the explosion, causing damage to the flooring and ceiling, along with shattering some vases and furniture. The ninja bodyguard had his back exposed with clear signs of burn marks from protecting Miss Yaoyorozu.

MY: "Are you okay?" she groans out, making sure that her bodyguard was fine.

Ninja: "Nothing that I'm not used to." he then got up, quickly apologizing to Miss Yaoyorozu for being on top of her but she brushes it off.

MY: "Was that an act of a last resort of some sort?" she questions, wondering why she had to explode herself.

Ninja: "Maybe. I took out the hidden poison from her mouth." as he had a small pellet in his hand.

MY: "You should probably go. My servants will be coming in to check up on what happened." to which the ninja bowed before he disappeared. Miss Yaoyorozu looked back to her office, 'Who's crazy enough to do this?' she questions inside of her head as she could hear the footsteps of her servants rushing in.

Elsewhere, at Tanaka Corporations, Satoshi dropped to the ground as he was exhausted creating the device to find Yaoyorozu.

Fumihiro: "Finally!" he yells out as he quickly picks up the device, "Looks like they'll be doing me a favor." he had a big smirk on him, unknown to him that Momo was already found.
