Hands.
_________________________As he walked through the door, he let go of the bags in his hands. It wasn't what he had expected compared to how Hajun previously explained his wealth. He would have thought Hajun still lived with his family in a big nice house, filled with maids running back and fourth working. So he was particularly surprised over the fact that Hajun had his own apartment to live in. It wasn't big and spacious, and clothes were littering the floor with burn marks in them from the hot ashes in those cigarettes. The apartment smelled like sweat and tobacco, and it was warm, almost humid inside. There were drugs on the table, alcohol in the small kitchen, a weed grinder on the sofa table, and a bunch of cigarettes laying around randomly along with empty bottles.
Yet he didn't judge. He was used to these surroundings. The only thing he didn't notice was the loud moaning he was used to at home or all the beeping sounds from the hospital.
He concluded that Hajun must not like to be indulged in luxury. It made him wonder if it has something to do with his past.
"Make yourself at home. I don't have school for the next week, so if you need anything, I suppose I'm here to help" Hajun spoke, his voice sounding tired, flopping down on the couch with his arms behind his head.
Jeongin nodded, looking a bit more around to get used to the new surroundings. He noticed a bunch of books in a huge pile, surprised by the newfound hobby that belonged to the latter. This guy took him off his feet by a lot of things. He never expected Hajun to be such a deep person, so noticing such a fact about his personal interest intrigued him.
"You like to read?" He spoke, trying to spike up a bit of a conversation.
He wasn't typically the social type, but he was so curious about so many things that he liked to go in depth with Hajun about it.
"..yeah...it's just a hobby, I guess?" He mumbled, sitting up as he observed the boy with a faint glint of intrigue hidden behind his eyes.
"I didn't expect you to be a bookworm? How did you pick up a hobby like this?" He asked, turning the books around to see what they were about.
"I don't know..I have a lot of money passed down from my parents..and one day, I decided that instead of spending the majority off it on cigarettes and drugs for me and my buddies, I attempted to find a hobby I could get into..it was only when I was one day punished to clean up the schools library, I found a book that I related to so much that I ended up actually purchasing it from the bookstore down the street...I guess it just became a rabbit hole since?" He explained.
Jeongin nodded, understanding where Hajun came from. Feeling sympathy for the latter who seemed to be so cold faced on the outside, but so warm on the inside.
Hajun must have drowned himself in a lot of stuff before finding what was right for him. And him doing it all on his own was something to appreciate. It was a strong move.
"I also don't think I've ever been so deep about my emotions with anyone before..it's crazy how you simply used to be the boy in my class running favors for me, and now I'm the one letting you stay at my personal place" he chuckled.
"Personal place?" Jeongin questioned, raising his head the glance at the older.
"You know? I only invite people over to my parents' mansion. I guess in your case, you wouldn't need chaos inside that brain of yours..".
"Oh..I guess I feel appreciated that you thought about that..thank you" he smiled as he stood up, stepping over to the latter before sitting down. "Can I ask a question?" He asked, knowing the next question most likely would be personal to Hajun, but it was begging to come out.
