Loads.
______________________"Is he always like that?" The man puffed out, crossing his arms over his chest as he laid the still talking male down on the couch.
"No" was all he could say. It was a lie. He knew better than to lie. But in no circumstances could he tell anyone about Hajun's misuse of drugs and alcohol. So he kept his mouth tightly shut about their relationship regarding their use of influence.
"Do you know what has happened, at least? He seems more than just drunk" the latter commented from the side, looking at the boy who slumped from pillow to pillow, trying to keep himself intact.
"No. He just called from a party stating he was feeling sick, so I went and got him".
"The party was by a quiet park, underneath a tree in which he was the only one under?".
"Oh yeah, he definitely didn't have two legs to get himself going now, did he, Chan?" He argued back, gritting his teeth by the complexity of the situation he was stuck in.
Hajun didn't seem like throwing up. He wasn't craving for food or water. He was just laying there, in a mindset that Jeongin genuinely wished he was in at that moment. He felt so bare and almost completely exposed to the two men beside him.
And he couldn't help but have that little anxious thought of what Chan and Hyunjin might think about him now. What if they thought he was a crazy junkie, only living with Hajun to get a stash of weed and coke daily. What if they thought he was an alcoholic from the beverages in the fridge that they hadn't even opened. There were so many "What ifs" stuck in his head.
Because what if this ruined everything. Between him and Chan, him and Hyunjin, him and Hajun? What if it all fell apart because of the mess he constantly couldn't get himself out of?
He loved Hajun. But not only seeing him like that, but letting the ones he love most, see him like that too, was starting to feel and seem overly concerning. He had always known Hajun's addictions to weed, alcohol and sex. But he really didn't think it could have gotten this bad that he was the one Hajun would call.
One side was happy to be trusted enough to call up in the midst of the late evening. But the other felt ashamed of not knowing what to do or who to inform.
"Whatever he took must have been strong, so I would probably just keep the aid kit nearby and let whatever is affecting him right now, pass through his system" Chan stated, grabbing the aid kit from the younger.
"Who said he took something?".
It was obvious he did. But defending Hajun was his top priority. He might now Chan and Hyunjin personally well enough not to tell anyone, but betrayal was common. And even if he had his beliefs in them, it wasn't enough to spit out whatever information the two men tried to shake out of him.
"He looks like the people from the pit" Hyunjin shook his head in disapproval, upsetting the younger with the truth.
"Even if he do, that doesn't mean that anything in his system could have been taken willingly" the amount of lies that spilled from his lips made him feel overly stimulated. He was tired of lying, and he was too exhausted to be defending his friend's case like this.
Who had thought that knowing the truth was more cruel than telling the truth.
"He does have a point, Hyunjin. Do you want us to stay in case something happens, or do you not want us here?" Chan stated with a heavy sigh, almost like he knew the lies that trailed of the younger's tongue.
Jeongin felt bad for them. He felt bad for Hajun. The way he was capable of just spitting out lies in a situation where truth was the most needed, messed with his head.
He also didn't know how to answer Chan's question. If he said yes, they would witness Hajun in the morning, completely hangover from being high on whatever bullshit he took. They would witness their daily routines. He would have to find a place where he could privately discuss the situation out with Hajun. He needed to remember all of those things if he let them stay over. He couldn't let either Chan nor Hyunjin stay in the bedroom. He couldn't let the two men open the fridge. All those things were picture perfect reference as to how both he and Hajun lived.
Deep down, he refused to seem unwell in front of the two men.
But he also couldn't say no. Because there was in no way could he handle Hajun alone like this. The boy was a drooling, high drug maniac on that couch, a sight he has only seen in one unforgettable place.
"Earth to Jeongin?" Hyunjin yelled out, waving his hands in front of his eyes as he got snapped out of his thoughts.
"If you're gonna stay, there's a few rules" he mumbled, fiddling with his hands.
"When aren't there rules?" Hyunjin rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest, letting the younger feel a bit ashamed.
Rules were the only string that held all three of them connected. He understood the hardships of following them and the amount of effort the two put into satisfying his space.
"This is Hajun's place, after all. I'm just staying here, aren't I?" He looked up, more confidently this time. Smashing his lips into a thin line. "Hajun needs to just stay in bed..though you can't access his bedroom, it's very personal for him, fridge is also off limits..so if you want something I'll just order some food. The bathroom is by the front door, the one to the left. If you change the setting on the shower head without adjusting it back, you will hear him complain about it for the rest of your life. Shoes are allowed, but he prefers strangers having them off. He thinks strangers are dirty animals until he gets to know them. Don't open drawers or pictures and file albums. It's his personal stuff, and he doesn't like it to be touched. You can watch TV as much as you'd like, but only under the guest account. And if you need a shower, I will bring fresh towels for you".
"So, basically, don't open anything and no entering the bedroom?" Chan questioned, looking a bit complex by the situation. "Where would you sleep, though?".
"I'll sleep in the room with Hajun".
"How great" Hyunjin huffed out with a dramatic eye roll, pushing himself off of the wall. Looking at the younger. "I assume you don't want us helping Hajun into the bedroom since we aren't allowed in there?".
"I can do it on my own, you know?" He glared, grapping onto the half concious man on the couch, lifting his heavy body onto his own fragile one.
"Mm, sure".
