Sundays.

"I really don't think this is beneficial for me" he mumbled as he stood quietly behind the three men in front of him, eyes pearing over their shoulders to grasp an idea of what he was about to put himself through.

This was beyond embarrassing. Just standing there, with his toes fully dugged into the sand, clenching his eyes from the sun. His body shivered from the heat of the exposed rays upon his body.

The loud and clear, almost pure like music from the ice cream truck up front, felt almost downgrading, as they all awaited in the que, only three of them excited for the sweet cold candy.

Ice cream wasn't a him thing. He really didn't like flavored water popsicles frozen in a cooler. He hated the frozen yet creamy ice cream from how sweet it was. It hurted for him to stand there, achingly in the hot weather, genuinely wanting to just sit back and relax. But not with 3 men who had a normal relationship with food, and he had to just stand there for moral support, pretending he wasn't fearing the sugary sweet, and instead pretended to hate the long and awful que. Acting like it was the worst thing on the planet, in hopes that he would be released with an option to skip the overly sugar filled frozen treat.

He hated summer. The sweat, the warmth, the humidity, he hated it all. Exposed bodies everywhere, making him look down at himself, feeling insecure about his own complexions. It was indeed just horrible.

He wanted to enjoy it. Because he needed to. Hajun needed to come out and do stuff other than drugs, alcohol and sex. He needed to get out and have fresh air without becoming intoxicated by his addictions and habits. He needed to get out of his room so he wouldn't sleep in all day, eat take out every day, only to go out and come back home high.

He did it for Chan, who loved the ocean with his heart. Chan, who had no more love to express for the blue ocean, and the golden beach they stood on. A person so oddly obsessed with the wild life and nature surrounding him.

And he did it for Hyunjin. Who with his his little camera, went along the shores, snapping pictures of the sun over the horizon and the people enjoying the lukewarm waters. Possibly snapping a picture or two to paint some day.

But he didn't wanna be there. He himself wanted to rot at home in this heatwave. But he knew eventually, Hajun needed to get out and about, Chan needed to reunite with himself more, and Hyunjin needed pictures for inspiration. But deep down, he hated all of this.

The sand between his toes, the unbearable heat from the sun, the waters splashing onto his body even if he wasn't near the ocean, the need to cool off with a sweet ice cream to gag down as fast as possible to feel guilty about later on. It just wasn't his cup of tea.

"You are so impatient it hurts" Hajun commented, nudging him with his elbow slightly.

Jeongin glared at the older, rolling his eyes in annoyance, but chose to keep his mouth shut and ignore the presence of the three men until a sentence of words were whispered into his ear.

"We can walk back to our spot, and they grab the ice cream?" The sweet, alluring voice whispered, the chin of the latter relaxing on his sharp shoulder. His own pair of eyes lighting up with joy.

"You don't have to ask me twice" he giggled, already leaving the que with the older following behind him.

"So? What's the evil plan for planning this trip?".

Jeongin shook his head by the words spoken, laughing to himself, knowing that in any pair of clever eyes could see that he hated every ounce of this little trip he has created out of the blue, on a spontaneous Friday afternoon, and an impulsive Saturday of driving.

Now, being sunday, he has regretted even getting out here. But under the circumstances of last week's heavy downfall and intense relationship fixing. He knew most of them needed a break anyway.

"It's beneficial for everyone but me, and that's what matters in my heart, Hyunjin" he smiled as they made it to their kept spot, sitting down on the large blanket as he stared upon the hundreds of people bathing in the ocean.

"Hm, you are a good friend for Hajun" Hyunjin commented, looking back at both Chan and Hajun to catch a glimpse of their whereabouts. "He hasn't taken anything since the last time we all were cluttered together around him. Is that normal?".

"I think that deep down, he is very aware of how fucked his trip turned out to be. So I'm not really surprised" he hummed, leaning against the older.

"You didn't say anything to him?" Hyunjim questioned, having a fair amount of doubts that there really wasn't more to keep Hajun away from drugs.

"I mean, we did have that small disagreement a week or so ago. But I personally believe it did mess with him so much that he has become a little hesitant in touching that kind of stuff, even cigarettes".

"Chan spoke to him too, right?".

Jeongin sighed, looking over to the two who stood, conversing with each other calmly. He smiled subtly as he looked at the older, leaning into his soft embrace before nodding his head gently.

"Chan has a way with his words when he isn't mad or irritated" he laughed softly, knowing truly hoe well-spoken the oldest of them could be in the right situation.

"But he is also hot when he is in a mood-".

"Hyunjin, I swear, if you even dare to put unwanted fantasies into my head, I will end you once and for all".

"Doesn't that require you to be stronger than I am?" Hyunjin chuckled, ruffling the younger's hair.

"You wouldn't dare" he shook his head, testing the latter's limits.

"Oh darling, I would dare".
