Time was running low. And no news from his doctor about a potential plan. It was tomorrow that his tube cycle ended. That meant that one week was all it took before he had to go back home.

The thought deprived him of happiness, the fear building up within him, afraid of the worst outcome possible. He now understood what Hyunjin and Chan felt. He was afraid to spend his final moments with Hyunjin before getting discharged. But at the same time, Hyunjin was all he needed.

"You know it's not the end, right? Maybe you'd find Chan? And maybe I will get released soon, too?"

"I hope that's the case..but I'm more terrified of my parents right now, I don't know what would happen when I come home" Jeongin spoke, his breath hitched as Hyunjin tucked him into a hug.

The comfort of a hug was something he couldn't ever get tired of. The warmth and the genuine love radiating from one person to the other was a whole different comforting experience.

"I'm going to miss you" hyunjin whispered, tightening his grip around the younger thin proportions.

Hyunjin, being vulnerable and emotional while embracing him, felt like a gift, not that it was good, in any way, it wasn't. But having the older sobs softly fall onto his shoulders, grasping his waist tightly.

He surely hasn't seen someone so terrified of losing people.

But it made sense.

Hyunjin has been nothing but alone in hospitals until Chan came along. Chan having to leave must have hurt enough, but now that he himself, was leaving too, probably pained the older so much.

Not going to lie.

He would be terrified, too.

Just the fear alone tricked him into believing his should hide away. Maybe it was a common concept. As a child, he was scared of every single breathing possible animal or material that existed upon his vision. The older he grew, the more the fear turned into a competitive mindset.

His childhood wasn't filled with happiness..obviously.

But..in one way or the other. He found peace in the violence, accepting his fate as a mere human being for once. Even if resentment was building up, fear struck like lightning. The thing he feared the most was losing both Hyunjin and Chan.

"I'll try to stay in touch, even if you won't see my messages, I'll write to you every day!" He spoke, trying to look at the positive side of things..even if there wasn't a single one, they caught an eye opener to.

"I hate you so much for being so encouraging" Hyunjin whispered beneath his breath, laughing softly as he thought back to the younger's words.

Time seemed to get thinner and thinner between the young boy and the awaiting gruesome household. It didn't feel good to see the numbers run low and get squeezed, frightening close to the end.

But it would have to happen eventually. Unfortunately, it was a week away from now. This moment wouldn't be considered the present for much longer, much rather the past. A past he wished to look back to, grinning yo each side of hid face.

But for now, he remained frightened.

Uncontrollably afraid.

"Hyunjin?" He mumbled out, an impulsive question arising within him.

"Yes?".

With the older now staring into his orbs, his breath hitting the pair of lips before him. Shaking, he smiled briefly.

"What if they kill me?" He asked, fear in his voice as he watched the older frown.

"They won't..go that far..I promise".

"How come you reassure me...when you haven't met my parents..haven't seen their behavior.." he sighed, wrapping his dangling legs around the slim waist, holding onto the man tightly.

"They won't..because I'm always by your side, I'm not going to leave you behind.." he spoke, rubbing his palms in circles on the fragile boy's back.

Unsure, Jeongin reached his hands to rest on Hyunjin head, ruffling the puffy hair that fell back nicely in place. Smiling once again as he felt lucky enough to have a moment like this with the latter.

Hyunjin, in his eyes. Was and will remain the most beautiful and endearing person he has come across. Physically, his facial proportions aligned perfectly. Emotionally, he had himself in remarkable control. The way his voice was gentle and soft enough to put him to sleep..the soft smell of his cologne being the complete different that typical man hygien products. He smelled like a bouquet of fresh plucked flowers, harvested at the perfect time for the perfect man. His eyes were deeper than the Atlantic Ocean, not helping but falling deeper into his gaze.

Maybe he was falling and hitting the ground too hard.

But he was drowning in the grasp of the male before him.

"You're staring" he laughed, moving closer to the obviously flustered boy, who hid his face almost immediately.

"I'm not..I was just zoning out" he excused.

"And how much of that do you want me to believe in?".

"I'm gonna kick your ass so hard you won't be able to sit" he threatened, only gaining a soft chuckle from the other who shook his head confidentially.

"Hmm...are you sure you really are capable of that?" He smirked, lifting the boy's head with his slim fingers, raising his brows as he stared down into the younger's gaze. "I believe I can make you melt on the spot if you even dared trying".

The way he said that definitely melted him on the spot. Hyunjin sounded beyond attractive when muttering those words, and it made his knees weak and soft, almost cushion like to the touch. Hyunjin had his ways around words, and the general tone of his voice fitted beyond perfect.

"See, you are even blushing like crazy right now" he laughed as he caressed the younger's face.

"If you don't stop pointing it out, I will genuinely have a heart attack" he complained, pushing away the older in good enough time before jumping off his bed and walking past him.

His cheeks were warm and heated, and his hands were cold from the lack of nutrition, but he could mind more. He only had Hyunjin for a week. It had to be the best week of his life, make every single moment count.
