Plague.

Jeongin sighed as he sat on the spotted blanket. He listened to the water from the sea across from him, laying comfortably against Chan's chest as they watched the sun go down. It was a bit cold but comfortable at the same time. The silence between the two of them wasn't tense. It was calming. In fact, it was so calm that Jeongin felt genuinely content for once in his life, just by sitting and doing nothing. The sea flushed against the shore, creating a chaotic noise that felt so relaxing to listen to. His eyes narrowed to the orange sky and the sun that was slowly disappearing for today. His hands being engulfed in Chan's firmer ones made everything seem so unreal.

They never made it up to Chan's apartment. They had previously sat in the car in such an uncomfortable silence that they both needed to go away and do something else. While Chan left for the apartment, he was, on the other hand, left in the car. Eventually falling asleep, not realizing Chan was simply preparing for them to go somewhere else to calm their minds down.

Being together with Chan felt like an escape. He wasn't panicked. He wasn't mad or upset. Sure, there were some slip ups. Where either of them said something wrong and had to clarify what they actually meant.

But it was an easy fix to a small argument.

It wasn't a big deal. Nothing felt like a big deal anymore.

It was shocking for him. Everything used to clash and become chaotic. But spending the past 3 days in Chan's car, doing absolutely nothing but talk and cuddle in each other's embraces. It made him feel so content. Even if he had a hard time accepting the fact he might need to eventually step a foot into the latter's place, he still felt happy knowing that Chan didn't try to rush him, or force him to something he wasn't a fan of.

"Jeongin.."  Soft voice pulled him away from his mind momentarily. His eyes looked into Chan's deep and soft ones. The way the older one smiled at him and brought him closer felt like magic. He could feel the butterflies in his stomach, going absolutely feral.

"Hm?" He hummed, allowing the latter to pull him onto his lap as they gazed at one another.

"What do you wish for?" Chan asked, making the younger frown in confusion.

What did he wish for?

Nothing much. He didn't have any specific wishes he wanted miraculously come true. Other than Hyunjin being healthy and ready to take on new adventures. But he knew Hyunjin was already on his way to that. So what did he really deeply and truly wish for?

He could wish for diamonds and pure gold, but even if it was such a sophisticated and expensive item to own. The truth was, it seemed much more like a boring rock and a painted bar to him. He wanted no such things like sophistication, enrichment..he wanted pure happiness and feeling content with himself, but he couldn't just wish for that either.

So what did he truly wish for? And what was the purpose of even asking such a question?

"What is this about" he asked, slightly suspicious, wondering where Chan was going with this information.

"Because I want to fulfill that wish for you" he laughed, looking at the younger with big, soft puppy eyes. As if he was the prettiest thing on the shelf, simply to collect and show off. But the personality was the real charmer in this case, and he couldn't get enough.

Jeongin gulped. He didn't like this kind of pressure on him. But Chan didn't know, and he just wanted to do him a favor. He genuinely didn't know what he could wish for.

He sighed, looking at Chan with confused but soft eyes. Chan was so much healthier looking now that he saw him up close. His skin radiated, and his ears were slightly red. He gained a bit of weight, which complimented his appearance so well. Chan was a goddess. He looked like one and acted like one. Like a savior coming his way.
