Incompetence.

"You actually came today?" The shocking voice from the latter who walked up to him with a noticeable frown on his face spoke. The eyes that have been staring at him since he even stepped in this place again triggered his anxiety through the roof, but he pushed it through, thinking he just needed to get this over with for once.

"It really wasn't my intention to show up" he muttered bitterly as he looked back down in his notebook, where he scrabbled ugly doodles onto the paper out of pure boredom.

"Then why are you here then?".

"Let's just say someone encouraged me quite enthusiastically to go today..and I didn't have much of a choice either, so I guess I'm here now?".

It was true. He had no intentions of even getting near this place again. He thought he could just quit this place once and for all, but according to his status reports, send through his mail, he still needed to get through at least one more year to get his earnings from this awful place.

"So you came to school today only to sit with your face, showed down in a notebook scribbling and doodling the day away?".

"Exactly".

"What about me? I'm bored too..and I thought friends entertained each other?".

"Hajun, there are a million other places that I would rather be right now than this shithole, and taking the matter of fact that I can not physically leave this school right now is bothering the shit out of me" he snapped back, only to bury his head back into his notebook.

Hajun shifted in his seat before throwing his legs onto the table, leaving back in his chair as he continued to extend his legs towards the younger's table, only to kick off the notebook that took away the younger's attention from him.

"Now it's me time..I missed my little runner" Hajun smirked as the younger scoffed at him.

Little Runner was a nickname he genuinely hadn't heard in ages. He used to be called all sorts of names from Hajun due to the fact he always ran stupid errands for the latter. But if he had to be honest..he genuinely missed some of the nicknames.

"If you are thinking about getting me to run, you can easily forget that idea. I just want to go back home soon" he mumbled, only to snap his head to the right when he heard a bunch of yells and laughter from other classmates.

Annoyed, he just frowned and turned back to Hajun with a dissatisfied look on his face.

"I'm not letting you run after what happened the last time..that shit traumatized the shit out of me" Hajun chuckled calmly as he opened a can of soda.

"Yeah and-".

Just as he was about to speak the classmates from before, yelled in unison again. Jeongin huffed out a breath before turning to look back at Hajun.

"As I was about to say. Yes, and I won't ever run more errands because of that".

"What are they even yelling about over there?" Hajun asked as he peeked over but dismissed his intention when he failed to catch any info.

"I heard them talk about some online app where you can talk to strangers from all over the world" he shrugged.

"How did they manage to avoid handing over the phone?".

"How do they even manage to yell so loudly without disturbing the death" he chuckled, before standing up.

"Where are you going?" Hajun looked up confused, as he watched the younger turn around.

"I'm just asking them to at least stay a bit quiet" he responded with a shrug.

As he moved past every desk on his way towards the group of five who seemed to be laughing, blushing, screaming, and offended all at the same time, he felt his heart beat faster. Anxiety slowly creeper up on him, but didn't manage to catch him rock bottom before he stood in front of his classmate.

He stood there for a good while without them noticing, and it was only when he cleared his throat that he managed to catch the attention of one of them.

"Can't you see we're busy?" The girl glared, her obnoxious voice catching the attention of the rest of the group who now stared between the two of them.

"Uhm, I was just wondering if you could please be a bit more quiet? There's people who are studying-".

"Just shut the fuck up. We don't care, why don't you just go back to the hospital if you don't like it here" she snapped.

At that point, he felt like crashing down. In what world could anyone justify saying such an awful thing. He balled up his fist before tears even threatened to appear at the corner of his eyes, as he took a deep breath.

"I was just asking kindly".

"Well does it look like we give a fuck? Go back to your seat and go count your calories or something".

Jeongin was beyond shocked. He was hurt and surprised how someone could speak so obnoxiously rude and carelessly to someone. Let alone a classmate. Without wanting further confrontation, he just turned around.

As he was walking away, he could hear them talk so badly about him behind his back. And their words hurt so much. As he reached his desk, he noticed Hajun was gone, and all he could think about and hear was the terrible things he was getting called by the other classmates behind his back.

He shook his head before packing up his stuff and taking this as his cue to skip this class for now, until he at least felt better and less insecure.

Could this day get any worse than what it already is?

That's the only thing that came to mind. He genuinely just wanted Chan to pick him up, but he handed in his phone this morning and has no outside communication.

He genuinely hated this place from the bottom of his heart.
