Chapter 13

"Absolutely nothing" Lorelai says looking through her closet.

"Oh come on" Victoria says. "I'm sorry, I'm looking. But there is nothing in here" Lorelai tells her.

"You're kidding right?" Rory asks. "No, everything in here I wear" Lorelai answers. "What?" Victoria asks in disbelief.

"There's nothing I can give up" Lorelai insists.

"The red and black halter top" Rory suggests. "No" Lorelai says.

"Why?" Victoria asks. "Uh, it's a classic" answers. "It's got time stones and zebra stripes on it" Rory points out.

"So?" Lorelai asks.

"Tassels" Victoria says. "Yes" Lorelai replies.

"It has tassels mom" Victoria says. "Okay, I've had this since I was seventeen" Lorelai responds. "Okay, I'm sorry. Did I mention the tassels?" Victoria asks.

"You are heartless and unsentimental" Lorelai says to her daughter.

"And you are a hopeless pack rat" Rory comments "I don't understand why I have to uproot my happy family of clothing anyway" Lorelai says.

"Because it's a charity rummage sale" Victoria tells her. "I know" Lorelai says. "That you helped organize" Rory points out

"Okay" Lorelai says.

"And volunteered to run" Victoria adds. "It was very very hot in that room that day I was dehydrated, they could have talked me into anything" Lorelai defends herself.

"It was your idea" Rory says. "Okay, I'm a very sick woman. That should be apparent to anyone" Lorelai replies. "Okay, get out of the way" Victoria says walking to her mothers closet.

"What are you doing?" Lorelai asks blocking her daughter from the clothes.

"Step away from the closet please" Victoria says. "This is so unfair" Lorelai says as Victoria goes in the closet.

"Oh no no no, not that whole chunk! Just take the- ok take that that's ugly just that one, no. Ah" Lorelai says as Victoria takes clothes from the closet. "Okay, now all of this goes. I want you to come over here to this dresser open up the top drawer and take out everything that you'd be embarrassed to be wearing during a car accident. Meet us down stairs" Victoria says as her and Rory leave the room. "Move!" Rory yells at her mother as they leave.

"Sweater" Rory says digging through a bag of stuff.

"Over here" Lane says as Rory throws her the sweater. "Jeans" Rory says pulling a pair of jeans from the bag.

"Next to you" Victoria tells her. "A big fury purple thing that could either be a hat, a toilet paper cover, or some kind of dirty hand puppet" Rory says. "Mystery box on the left" Lane responds.

"Hey" Luke says walking in with a bunch of stuff.

"Hey Luke" Rory says greeting hime "Where do you want these?" Luke asks.

"What do you have?" Lane asks him. "Clothes, rags, and some old pots and pans" He tells them. "Kitchenware can go in the kitchen and clothes can go right over there" Victoria tells him. "Okay" Luke says putting down the clothes and bringing the kitchenware to the kitchen.

"Here grinch" Lorelai says bringing more clothes down.

"Thank you" Rory thanks her. "Who wants cheese?" Lorelai asks.

"Are there crackers?" Victoria asks her. "Somewhere in the state of Connecticut, yes there are crackers" Lorelai replies. "And in the Gilmore house?" Rory asks.
