# Ship Version

As the war of the two gods in the Halloween AU progressed with no significant advances on each other's domains and allies, Dark imagined a plan to make an infinite disposable army, loyal, obedient, and, above everything else, efficient in all the tasks they were given. His idea was later developed into reviving the dead to control them as much as he wants, but the results were rather poor, with the resuscitated zombies being rather obedient but very inefficient, dumb, and slow. Luckily for him, a later result was better, with the revived skeletons capable of thinking on their own strategies, realize what the enemies are doing to answer accordingly, at the cost of being curious, questioning the orders they are following, and the authority of Dark himself. The most promising part of the skeletons was, however, that no matter how much their bones break, something seems to attract the fragments back to the skeleton, regenerating and making them impossible to be defeated. Invested into understanding this strange magic, Dark's forces researched further into the skeleton and discovered a "Skeleton Core", which was later used inside a warship named the Skeleton destroyer, with the most notable ones being the Skeleton, first of the class, and Domitor, named after one of the most important families in the Dark's forces (Domitor family is part of the cannon verse, but it's not to be confused with Domitor family of the Halloween AU).

This "Skeleton Core" is essentially the core of the skeleton, which holds all the bones in place and makes them nearly impossible to be defeated unless the Skeleton Core itself is broken, unable to keep the structure and attract the bone fragments back to their place. Dark's forces were able to create larger and stronger versions of those cores, maintaining a ship-like structure and, thus, creating literal skeleton warships, which don't need any crew to be controlled but still can think and talk like real people. The first version of the destroyers was called the F types, for being Fully made out of bones, but due to the difficulty of creating and shaping these cores to create ships, larger versions for cruisers and battleships were never made and even later, with higher need of ships, a P-type destroyer was developed, Partially made of bones in some specific areas and with a need for an actual crew, but easier and faster to be produced. A so-called J type was also developed but it was canceled before the prototype, known as J1, could even be finished. (J stands for Joke here, meaning that this J type is not meant to actually exist or be planned in any AU, but I still wanted to make it as a joke. You will understand why soon).

In armaments, both the F and P types were rather poor, for the sake of keeping the production cheap and easy for the Dark's forces. More specifically, the destroyer was armed with three single mounts of 11 cm dual-purpose guns as the main guns, eight quadruple mounts of 35 mm AA guns, four 7.7 mm AA guns, and two quadruple 533 mm torpedo launchers, equipped with the infamous bonesaw torpedoes and their acoustic variant. The bonesaw torpedoes were first developed to be especially used by the Skeleton class, with the sole purpose of turning this still cheap class into a deadly weapon. Essentially, it's a torpedo that can pierce through a warship's hull, possibly making a huge hole from side to side to the ship and worse, if correctly launched, but what made it extremely powerful was its explosion capability, which only detonated by order of the warship that launched the torpedo. Well-timed, the torpedo would explode inside the enemy warship, thus causing significantly more damage to the hull and possibly to other important areas such as the engine room or even the magazine.

As expected, the armor of the Skeleton class was rather poor too, extremely thin, easily penetrated by any shells, but those are the least of the concerns of the destroyers thanks to their repairing capability to attract bone fragments back to their place, bringing the ship back to life even if all the bones were fractured, exploded or turned to dust, all that matters is that the Skeleton Core survives the heat of the battle long enough, which's why it's the only place of the warship with considerable armor, even a double layer is there to protect it. The same, of course, can't be said to the P types, since they are made only partially with bones while the rest can be easily destructed without any possible repairs mid-battle, thus this variant of the Skeleton class is better armored, capable of resisting considerably more. As a result, those two variants of the destroyer had different maximum speeds, the F type with top 38.7 knots while the P type got speeds of 36 knots.
