Having territories all around the world, it was hard for the Monarch Empire to keep the order and have sure that they don't become independent. The best way to prevent that is to put loyal soldiers in a powerful ship as they would be responsible to take care of uprises and rebellions with their massive firepower and also scare people from doing that in the future. Four ships of this class were built, Crown, King, Queen and lastly Prince. The ships Princess and Throne were also planned but both were converted to carriers due to the need to fight against the increasing aircraft threat.

The top speed the battleships of this class managed to get was 28 knots, having a powerful armor that can only be penetrated by battleship guns or high caliber heavy cruiser guns. To make it even more difficult to hit the citadel, it is located below the waterline, forcing enemies to engage from medium distances if they want to hit the citadel.

As armament, each ship of the Crown class was equipped with two quadruple mounts of 42 cm guns, two twin mounts of 32 cm guns, 48 single mounts of 15.2 cm guns, 22 twin mounts of 13 cm dual-purpose guns, 16 twin mounts of 8 cm dual-purpose guns, 42 quadruple mounts of 40 mm AA guns, 24 single mounts of 7.7 mm AA guns and lastly two single submerged torpedo launchers forward-aimed.

The ship also has a small hangar capable of housing four aircraft that are launched by two seaplane catapults that are located on the aft. They are mostly used for anti-submarine and spotter purposes, able to be equipped with four depth charges. They can also be used as seaplane bombers, as they can be equipped with two bombs.

Crown and Prince battleships were designated to protect the mainland while King takes care of the territories at the south of the Rome Empire and lastly Queen is responsible for the islands close to the Sun Empire.

The Crown class of battleships received unique patriot appearance schemes that were demanded by the emperor who wanted to show for the people that all the firepower aboard the battleships belonged to the Monarch Empire. The bow tip has a golden sculpture of a big lion roaring painted in gold while the freeboard has lots of bright red shields displaced in a line with some of them having draws of black crowns, others having draws of black swords and the ones that remained have drawings of lions in black. The rest of the ship was painted in navy blue with drawings of a white crown together with a white scepter in the upper armors of the quadruple mounts of 42 cm guns and lastly, the superstructure has four red lines that crossed in the middle, honoring the old United Kingdom.

Crown is really tall shipboy, possessing short organized dark brown hair accompanied by eyes that don't have a fixed color, as they change according with the emotions of Crown, being dark green for happiness, red for anger, dark blue for sadness and etc.. Having considerably tanned skin, Crown has many scars over his body as they were a little gift from a friendly aircraft carrier of the Rome Empire, named Ariana. But no one ever saw them as they are all hidden under the royal, formal and elegant clothes he wears. He also wears white gloves, uses a Monarch Empire flag with golden details as a cape and has a crown of bright gold decorated with rubies and sapphires that he only uses on very rare occasions, as he doesn't like to show it for the others. Lastly, he has a saber with a golden hilt and a pure black blade.

Not changing clothes when out of the seas, he ties his cape to a mast that he would proudly carry with him. He has one big funnel attached to his back. The 32 cm guns are attached to the sides of the funnel while the 42 cm guns with the draw of the crown and the scepter are attached to his upper arms. The dual-purpose guns are all displaced on the upper armor of the 42 cm guns, hiding the draw, while the shoulders have some of the AA guns. He also has a belt with all of his 15.2 cm guns on it and all the remaining AA guns. Lastly, he has one torpedo launcher attached to each of his boots.
