Chapter One: New Beginning

Sammy's POV

They said that our life is like a book. It has chapters. And every chapter has a story and characters. And just like the chapters in books, it also has a beginning and of course ending. And as they also said, people who are on the closed or end chapter should stay on that said chapter. Ibig sabihin, yung mga naiwan sa chapter na 'yon, dun nalang. At dapat kang magpatuloy kahit wala na sila.

Just like what I'm doing. Continue living for myself and not for others.

I'm Janna Samantha Piamonte Villamayor. 17 years of age and currently taking Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Management.

By the way, it's our first day so I'm quite nervous. Woosh!

As I enter our designated room, all of my new classmates, I think.. are looking at me. I just gave them a quick smile.

"Miss, ditto ka nalang umupo." A guy who's quite taller than me said.

"Oo nga. Gusto kitang makilala. Gusto din kitang maging friend. Okay lang sayo?" a girl who's currently sitting on the desk suddenly joins the conversation.

"Ahm.. ah.." I want to refuse but when I saw how the girl frowned... "Okay. I-"

"Yes! Yes! Tara, ditto ka tabi tayo!" she cut me off then just dragged me by my arms. Great!

"By the way, I'm Clarence Adrinne Montes, please call me Adri. And your Samantha Villamayor right?" she asked as we sat on the chair. I just nodded at her.

"Gosh! You're from Westridge High! Dream school ko kaya yun!" she cheerfully said. I just smiled at her.

"Wag ka ngang masyadong maingay. Naiilang sya sayo." The guy who approached me a while ago said. "Hi Samantha! I'm Justin Anthony Monteverde. You can call me Justin or you can call me your love." He said then winked at me.

"Ikaw ang wag magulo! Nag-uusap kami!" Adri nagged to Justin then smiled at me.

I don't get why they give me much attention.

"Magsisimula na naman kayo. Mahiya naman kayo kay Samantha." The boy who's holding a book said.

"Eto kasing si Jus eh!"

"Oh anong ako? Ikaw tong maingay eh, naiilang si Sammy." Justin argued. That name.. still giving me aches.

"Please just call me Janna. I'll appreciate it." I said then smiled on him.

"Huh? Ang ganda kaya ng Sammy. Pero sige na nga, Janna nalang. Maganda din naman eh." Justin said then the other two agrees.

After few minutes, our professor came then the orientation started.

"Okay. So from now on, kaibigan ka na namin! Ay may favor pala ko.. pwedeng wag ka ng mag-english? magkakainternal bleeding ako sayo eh. Isang basket lang ng english ang baon ko." Adri said.

"Sige." I said then smiled.

We're here at the cafeteria. They invited me to have lunch with them.

"Yes! So, uhm, ganto, para magkakilala tayo, dapat magpakilala ng isa't isa. Name, then atleast two qualities. okay? Ikaw mauna." Adri said pertaining to Justin.

"Tss! Sige na, ako na. Ayun so Ako nga si Justin Anthony Monteverde, ahm.. team captain ako ng basketball nung High School and well, i can sing." He proudly said then looked at me.

"Ako naman si Luke Andrei Buenavista, Luke nalang. I can dance and play a guitar." he said and smile

"At ako nga si Clarence Adrinne Montes. ah.. I can also dance, tsaka I think magaling ako sa drawings." she cheerfully said and I can't help but smile.

I guess she possesses a charm too.

When i looked at them, they all looked at me too. Oh, it's my turn.

"Ahm.. well, i'm Janna Samantha Villamayor and I'm--"

"You're the heiress of Piamonte Corp., a valedictorian, 4th-time math quiz bee champion nung High school, you're also a belter, magaling ka ding sumayaw, sikat ka sa west sapphire high, tawag nila sayo 'Angel Face', kapatid mo sila Ayesha Sophia at Dane Andrew Villamayor!" Adri continuously said.. cut me off obviously.

And woah! So she really knew me well.

"So you did a great job on researching huh?" I jokingly said.

"Nakuh, di ko na kailangang magresearch noh! Pati kaya sa school namin nung high school sikat ka din!" she responded immediately.

"But, ahm.. pwedeng wag nyo kong itreat as nung high schol ako? I want to be treated like you guys, like the other students here. Pwede ba yun?"

"Huh? Parang ang impossible naman ata nun Janna eh.." - Justin

"Please.." I plead

"Hmm. okay sige, susubukan namin." si Luke na ang sumagot.

I just smiled at him.

After that, we just continue to eat until the bell rang. Time for our next subject so we rose to our feet and go to our designated room.

"Okay, so class dismiss. Nice meeting you all." our prof said before she walked towards the exit of our room.

"Hey, una na kami ni Adri. May pupuntahan pa kami eh." Luke Approach us.

"Uhm.. sige.. ingat kayo. And thank you for letting me join your squad." i respond then smiled.

"Wala yun! Nakuh atleast may ka-girl talk na ko! Thank you Janna! Ang ganda mo talaga! Sige una na kami! Jus! Si Janna ah?" bilin pa ni Adri bago sila tuluyang umalis. That girl really.

Justin only nodded.

After a while, my phone beeps.

From: Irene Sue

Sam, tuloy tayo ah? Sa dati. Hihintayin ka namin ni Casey. :) :)

Oh shook! I almost forgot about it.

"Ah, Justin.. iI have to go. Thank you din." I said as I grab my bag.

"Janna! Hatid na kita. Uuwi ka na ba?" He offered.

"Ah.. no. Hindi na. Thank you nalang. May susundo sakin." I said refusing to his offer.

"I insist. Please. Just this once."

"Justin--"

"Janna, ngayon lang. Promise." he said cutting me off.

I sighed. He's so persistent. Pagbigyan.

"Okay. Tatawagan ko nalang muna yung sundo ko." I said in defeat as I dialed kuya Joel's number.

He picked it up after 3 rings.

"Ma'am Samantha.. nakuh, pasensya na po at mukhang malelate ako. Trafic po eh." he apologetically said.

"Ay hindi, okay lang po kuya Joel. Wag nyo na po akong sunduin. I'll just text mom and dad. May pupuntahan pa po ako eh."

"Ganun po ba? Ah sige po. Pasensya na po ulet." he said before the line went off.

"Tara?" Justin offered and i just nodded.

Siguradong magtataka yung mga yun mamaya pero, bahala na nga.
