Actually, kanina ko pa 'yan inuulit-ulit. Pagkagising ko palang kasi kanina, parang bigla akong kinabahan. It feels like something's odd. May mali. Parang may mali.
But that thought vanished when I saw my niece and nephew in the dining area, eating enthusiastically. They really are big eaters. That sight alone makes my heart melt and I can't help but to smile.
Hanggang sa makarating ako sa opisina ay nakangiti parin ako. Right! We should start this day with a smile. But my smile faded as soon as I stepped in my office. Specifically when my eyes darted on my table. I've seeing nothing but papers to sign and review.
'So wala na naman ngayon?' I can't help but to ask.
Sa totoo lang, dalawang buwan na akong nakakatanggap ng bulaklak na may kasamang tsokolate at sulat. Araw-araw 'yun. Nagsisimula na akong masanay kaya naman hindi ko maipagkakailang nakaramdam ako ng pagkadismaya.
Napagdesisyunan ko nalang na magsimula na sa trabaho. I also asked my secretary to come in and discuss my schedule for today. Maya-maya lang ay nakarinig na ako ng pagkatok bago sya pumasok.
"Good morning, ma'am." She greeted and so did I.
Then she discussed my schedule.
"That's all?" agad na tanong ko matapos syang magsalita.
"Yes ma'am."
"Are you sure? No other appointments?" paninigurado ko pa.
"That's your entire schedule for today ma'am. Is there anything you want me to add?" she answered.
"Wala naman. You can now go back to work." Sabi ko na agad nya namang sinunod.
Wala talaga??
Tatlong araw na. So that's it?
Sammy, you should go back to work. Kung anu-ano na namang naiisip mo. I berated myself before I focus into my schedule.
"Ma'am, I'll just remind you about your last schedule for today. You have a meeting with Mrs. Acuna in Tuscani Hotel at 7:00 pm. Do I have to accompany you ma'am?"
"No, you don't have to. Just finish sorting the files I need for tomorrow's board meeting then you can go home."
Pagkatapos kong sumagot ay nagpaalam na itong lumabas.
