Your arms loosen from around Rafe just enough to be able to see his distraught face which was already wet with tears and small ones already beginning to form again before you bring your hands up, cupping his face in your delicate touch as your fingers wipe away at them.
"Feel free to let it out." You say softly as his chest hitches against yours with silent and final sobs.
"I uh- I can't. They'll be looking for us by now." He says with a sniffle.
You push his hair back and behind his ears as he usually styles it but messier as he hadn't gelled it at all today. A few strands of hair trickled down his face but it didn't matter in the slightest, there wasn't a single thing in the world that wouldn't make your heart jump out of your chest at him.
"Who cares," you sigh, "let them look."
A small smile twitches onto his face at your words before he leans into you again, embracing you while he still could.
"Here." You say as you guide him back onto the tiled roof, laying down while your eyes stayed gazing upon the stars.

His breathing slows down into a relaxed pace again as he lays in your arms, letting you hold him tightly into your chest like he was a some sort of teddy bear only better. Rafe was warm.
He was softer both physically and emotionally, he was far more calming in the sense that he had a heartbeat that could put you to sleep with ease in itself, he was somebody that would take you in his arms at any second he could, his eyes were brighter with love and he was nobody but himself; and even when you thought about it hard, there wasn't a single thing or person on earth that you would rather be laying with than him.

"You know Rafe, you're not the luckiest person in the world. You had a lot happen to you and bad things only happen around you but yet...there's not a single person I would rather be with than you." You admit whole heartedly. Your eyes still beaming admiringly at the stars above as your heart picks up pace, nervous at your own words for they were the most honest and genuine thoughts that had ever escaped your mouth and you willingly let them.

"Then I am the luckiest person in the world."
Rafe says, pulling away from your body to look into your eyes as they sparkled in the moons fluorescent light. His hands on either side of you as his body hovers over yours before he slowly begins to lower himself again, his face inching closer to yours to return the gentle kiss you had given him earlier, a kiss that reflected how careful and soft he felt around you, a kiss that was so passionate yet just as shy. His lips grazed against yours and you let them while you stayed pinned against the roofs tiles underneath him, allowing him to deepen the kiss as much as he wanted to, and letting him take control of the moment again until an absurd interruption robs the two of you of it completely.

"Great heavens, go check on them, would you?" Your father says impatiently as he cuts into his dinner, his eyes only enraged at the disappearance of both you and Rafe rather than complacent like he was the first few minutes.
"Yes sir." Zane says as he stands up from the table, the chair screeching against the marble floors as he pushes himself out of it in a hurry, dire to know what's taking you so long.

As he approaches the bathroom door, he notices nothing but complete silence which only got him curious so he skips the knocking and attempts to open the door. The doorknob of course, still locked as you left it.
"Of course." He sighs before inspecting the lock to see it was only a turn-button one which made it easier for him to get into.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his wallet and from that, a plastic business card, slipping the corner of it into the narrow lock and turning it, unlocking it effortlessly which made him smirk proudly. His smirk however faltered almost instantly when the door swung open to reveal nobody inside but an open window as the Lacey curtains flow against the night wind, filling the bathroom with a chilly atmosphere.
"So be it." He mumbles to himself.

Your eyes stay fluttered close as Rafe continues the kiss until the unexpected sound of footsteps are heard bearing towards you, startling you and causing your eyes to fly wide open. Rafe, however, couldn't find the decency in him to care at all. His lips danced against yours all the more after hearing Zanes familiar footsteps treading heavily on the stone tiles.
"Am I interrupting something?" Zane says, unimpressed as you try to squirm out from underneath Rafes body before he finally decides to pry his away from your own.
"Yeah. You are." Rafe says with a disapproving glare.
"What?- No! No, no, no. Nothing at all." You respond anxiously as you straighten your clothes out again while Rafe watches, entertained and proud at his theatrical kiss and the gold ring around your neck.
"Right. Your fathers not happy, he wants you to join us again." Zane says to you, straight faced and ignoring Rafes presence behind you entirely.
"Oh no." You sigh with a loss of any excuse for your awfully long dismissal. Your hands begin to hover towards your mouth in worry while you fall into a trance of thoughts as you rapidly brainstorm anything that could explain the almost 40 minute gap until a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist and a breath taking voice shivers against your ear.
"Don't worry, I'll do the talking." Rafe says before placing a tender kiss on your cheek and smirking up at Zane in front of you which earned himself a glare in return.
"Okay." You whisper with relief as you lean backwards into Rafes touch, enjoying the last sensation of his lips on your skin before they drift away from your neck again and his arms slither out from around your waist.

Rafe gives you one last kiss on the cheek before walking past you and pushing past Zane, barging his shoulder against Zanes softly as he returns the glare.
"Let's go, Y/N." Rafe says, leaning over the open window with a hand held out to you, gesturing for you to take it so he can safely get you back inside. Leaving Zane standing alone on the roof top as he watches your interaction with Rafe, reading how soft Rafes features become around you in comparison to the sheer aggression and anger he was used to seeing whenever Rafe would look his way instead.
"Interesting."
