Luke and Nick had been dating for about seven months, and they had been living together for two. Before that Nick had lived with Dream in Florida, but he ended up moving North to live with Luke instead. Though there is one thing that Nick has been not quite lying about but keeping from Luke.

------------------------------------------------

Luke woke up and quickly noticed that Nick was already up somewhere in the house. Luke hated to admit it but since Nick had moved into the house with him the air had been... tense. Nick seemed nervous about something and while Luke had at first blamed it on him moving homes, it had been two months and he had no idea what to do about it at this point. So today he had decided that he was gonna try to sit Nick down and talk to him about all of the things that were concerning him.

So Luke got up from the bed, still shirtless since he believed sleeping with one on was pointless. He walked half-naked back into the house and saw Nick in the kitchen cleaning something that was already spotless. Luke walked over and leaned on the doorway to the kitchen waiting for Nick to notice him. Eventually the ravenette looked up and saw the taller leaning in the doorway. Nick smiled for a quick moment until he saw that Luke looked serious about something.

"Nick, I think we need to have a little talk ok, nothing bad but just, come sit with me ok?"

Nick seemed to tense up at the question yet still nodded and followed Luke to the living room.

"Ok, I've noticed since you've moved in that you seem a bit distant. I was just assuming it was from the change of housing and scenery but is it something else? You know you can tell me if it is right, it's perfectly fine I just notice you seem, a bit out of it."

Nick just kept eye contact with Luke for a few seconds.

"I want to tell you but I don't know how, uhm. Can I call Dream really quickly, and then we can finish this ok?"

Luke didn't really like the idea that Nick didn't feel like he could tell him about something, but he respected it and nodded as Nick stood up to go on the porch and call Dream.

Nick got out onto the porch and quickly got his phone out to call Dream.

"What's up Nick?"

Nick hesitated and realized that his friend already knew about it anyway.

"Uhm, so Luke has noticed that I've been a bit spaced out and, to be honest, that's true. I can't think of a way to tell him that I have a language of touch. He isn't very touchy and that's perfectly fine but you know it's something that helps me cope with anxiety and stuff. I admit I have been anxious since I've moved over here, y'know a new place and all. Then on top of that, I can't think of how to tell him so it's then just been making me even MORE anxious and I just."

"So, this is you asking me to figure out how you can tell him?"

"Yes please."

"Yeah, no worries. Have you tried to be touchy with him?"

"A bit but normally he just smiled and brushes it off."

"What do you mean brushes it off."

"Like the other day when we went to get stuff to decorate my room, I grabbed his hand to drag him to something I liked. Then he let go to get it off the shelf and into the cart but after that, he didn't go for my hand again and I felt like it would be weird if I tried to go for his hand again."

"Oh, I get it. Have you tried to sit down with him?"

"Well, I'll be ready too but then I just get too scared."

"Do you want me to tell him for you?"

"Uhm, yeah that would be really nice."

"Ok, bring the phone to him."

"Thank you, Clay."

Nick walked inside with the phone and saw Luke sitting in that same spot on the couch, waiting. He took a deep breath before walking over to his lover. Nick handed Luke the phone and went back into the kitchen, not wanting to see how Luke would react.

-back with Luke-

Luke took the phone from Nick and saw him walk away, he also noticed the phone was on call with Dream, so he held it up to his ear.

"Hey Luke."

"Oh, hey Dream what's up?"

"Uhm, so you know how Nick lived with me for about a year and a half before moving in with you?"

"Yeah what about it?"

"Well, first let me just ask, what's your love language?"

"Uhm, I don't really know but if I had to guess I would say words or affection, why?"

"Nick is the same way."

"Ok?"

"So since he has moved in he has been feeling really nervous about everything, and he get embarrassed that his love language is mainly touching. So the fact that he has been trying to tell you that and is struggling is making him even more anxious. He deals with anxiety by I guess... cooling down? He has laid in bed with me all day just cuddling as homies before because of his anxiety. Basically, this is me telling you that he has a love language of touch, doesn't know how to tell you and that his anxiety is off the chart."

"...I knew I shouldv'e talked to him sooner. I'm sorry. I have to go talk to him now though ok? I'll call you later and explain. Hehe, don't be mad at me for not noticing please."

"I know you aren't a duche Luke, it's fine."

"I do appreciate this Dream, seriously." Luke hung up on Dream and tossed Nick's phone on the couch before walking to the kitchen, where he found Nick sitting on the floor next to a counter
