Nick had woken up early the next morning and made it to the cabin at 1pm on the dot. All the flights had been scheduled so that nobody would arrive before him, thankfully that hadn't changed.

Nick walked up to the familiar cabin doors and unlocked them with their designated key on the chain, the lock clicked a few times before the door unlocked and Nick could turn the handle to swing the door wide open. As soon as he stepped into the house he was met with multiple memories of his childhood before things happened with his sister. God how he missed her, she would be happy that he's trying to get his life back together, proud of him really.

He smiled at the thought of her and shut the door behind him. He set his keys on the counter and walked around looking at the familiar cabin. (The second-floor plan will be in the next chapter.) Nick walked around the entire first floor smiling, and then decided to go upstairs.
