12. First Meet

Nandini's POV

"This is wonderful, Nandini! You have decorated your room extraordinarily. I am in love with your designing skills." Navya complimented as she settled on the edge of my bed and looked around the room.

"Well..." I pulled out a chair to in front of her. "I wanted to become a fashion designer but my dad... He made me get into medical field."

I kept it as short as possible for I don't want to talk about my father and what he's done to me.

I have always been creative. My mother was certain I would make a good designer but dad... I am ashamed to call that man my father! He compelled me to go into medical field. He cancelled my admission done in an esteemed institution of fashion designing. My mother and I had gone their together. I still remember how sad mom was when dad forced me to fill a medical college's form.

I didn't stop right there though. I used Youtube and internet as a source of education and learned more about fashion designing side by side I pursued medical studies.
I used to have my own clinic but... My life is something else now.

"You are intelligent, Nandini. I am proud of you. Even if you pursued medical, your designing skills are impressive. You can follow your passion here in Full Moon Pack. You just have to tell the alpha and he'd gladly help you achieve your dreams." She said merrily.

"I am grateful your mother let you be my friend. I would have been very lonely otherwise." I said and took her hand.

"Oh, Nandini," She squeezed my hands. "My mom had a bad past I told you, didn't I? She is just over possessive when things are related to me. She doesn't want me to end up like her."

I acknowledged her words with a nod.

Navya told me that her mother's human friend cheated her. She seduced Navya's father and ran away with him leaving her mother pregnant with a broken heart. Since then Navya's mom never let her have a human friend. This was her reason to keep Navya away from me when we met the first time.

Yesterday, notwithstanding, her mother came to my room and apologized for her cold treatment. Luna apparently told her about my painful journey throughout now. She sympathized me and came to introduce herself. She also assured me that Navya will be there for me whenever I want. I was in tears when she shared her cause for keeping Navya away from me. Her story was disturbing.

"I don't feel left out at all, Navya. You guys have gifted me a home." And peace too... I wanted to add but let it be.

"You've gifted me a friend I've always wanted, Nandu. I hope I can call you that." She flashed her pearls.

"Anytime, Navya."

Last two days went surprisingly smooth for. Alpha Manav introduced me to their head surgeon, Mr. Raghav Kumar. I will work as his assistant and learn more about medicines and stuff.

I was a physician that treated diseases concerning a human's entire body. Now Doctor Raghav will teach me medicines treating a wolf's body. I have started with small things since yesterday. It includes learning about nature and medicinal plants for the starters.

The amazing part of this story is that alpha will pay me for my work. So it's like I am not living here as a parasite sucking off their luxuries earned through hard work. I'll get my remuneration in a new account Alpha Manav made me in his pack's bank. The services I render as a doctor will be my payment for staying here in the mansion.

"Btw there's something I wanted to tell you." I looked at her excited face.

"What's that?" I was curious myself. "Wait, is it a secret?"
