Hello everyone ☺️
I've posted a message on my dashboard. Don't have the courage to reshare it here, just know that it's taken a toll on me and lots of strength to restart writing after all that I went through.
Hope I wasn't too annoying with all the delay. 🥹
Enjoy reading and do follow me back if you have unfollowed earlier out of anger!

114. Her new lover!

Nandini's POV

"I know you like me too, Nandini. Stop pretending like you are still in love with that asshole father of your son!" I ceased all motions and lifted my darkening face.

"Say that again?" I raised an eyebrow as my fingers tightened around the knife I was using to cut vegetables.

Today is Sunday and this stupid man I have irritating me in my kitchen came here to drop the vegetables from our farm. He is Audrey, one of the workers working on the ranch for Turley.

Dirty blond hair, dark blue eyes. He claimed that the other girls find him entrancing. He stood two inches taller than me. I dropped the knife as I was afraid I might just use it on him if he didn't stop being annoying.

"I don't think I said anything wrong." He walked closer and took my hand.

"Let go before I kick you in the balls, Audrey." I growled and attempted to take my hand back.

He's a year younger than me and the first time we met, I collided into him. He saved me. But that was not the end of it. He claimed that it was the life changing moment in his life. That I am his love at first sight.

I wouldn't be in this problem if it wasn't for Turley. He went to her first when he felt like he was in love with me. And as I was living with Turley as her adopted daughter, he thought it would be fair if he took his feelings first to her, so she would guide him what to do next.

Since he's the son of one of her childhood friends, she took pity on him and told him everything about me, cutting out the werewolf part. Not to mention that Turley finds him compatible.

She thinks that I would make a good couple with him and that he could give Mahir the father that he deserves to have. And that it would save me from lying to my son daily about his father.

I tried to keep calm and held my facial muscles from twisting in wrath.

"Leave here before Mahir comes, Audrey. You know he doesn't like you around me." I said, taking a step back as he took a step towards me.

"You can tell him I'll be his father now. Why lie to that sweet boy?"

I burst into a sarcastic laugh and tilted my eyebrows, "Sweet boy? Are you sure you want to call that to Mahir? He is the same boy who bit you last time for trying to flirt with me. Do you think you can handle him?"

"It's not impossible," He straightened his back to look confident. "I can make him fall in love with me as his father."

Audrey's feelings are not unknown to my son. Mahir is close to being five, but he can read through people's expressions and body language.

Last time Audrey was here, he was trying to be flirtatious and used a couple words that Mahir knew. He became so furious that he bit Audrey's left calf and warned him to stay away from me.

"That's if you let me tell him the ultimate truth first." My shoulders became taut. "He needs to know that there's no father missing him."

I would never tell that to Mahir. It will break him. He will start hating the word dad. And me, too, if I told him I have been lying to him about his father.
