Thank you for all your good words and wishes ❤️🙏
No one can replace or fill in a father's place, and my father was one of his kind. Everyone says I've taken after him in many ways including his temper so that makes me feel that my father is alive within me.
Besides, life goes on. Allah is merciful and InshaAllah ill meet him again on the day of judgement🌹
Jab tak ki koshish karenge jeene ki, Abbu ka Naam roshan karne ki or ammi ki strength banne ki✨

115. A letter to dad
Manik's POV
Bloody asshole Rogue.
I used to like the fucker earlier. But now I want to kill him with my bare hands.
I am stuck here in San Francisco because of him.
Stuffing my hands in my pocket, I strolled inside the park and settled down on a bench. The early afternoon sun left my back clammy. And yet, I chose to sit on a bench that scorched my ass.
Kids were all around me, playing and making noise. They made me miss my daughter. But hell. There's no way I could go back home and hug her. It will have to wait, for I don't know how long, because some real rogues followed us into San Francisco.
They're causing damage to property and humans around the county which is not good for the people. They believe they're some normal burglars. Henceforth, we are forced to stay back and eradicate every rogue that has followed in before everyone starts getting suspicious.
Not us actually. Rogue is taking care of them with the help of Conor and his soldiers. Whereas I am chilling out, looking around the county. It's the first ever holiday I took from my job since Nandini's death. So Rogue suggested that I enjoy some me time while they deal with the problem.
I came to the park today. I was sitting on the bench and admiring the kids when I felt a tap on my knee. I didn't immediately notice it given that an intoxicating scent filled my nostrils.
Lights exploded in my brain and I hastily began to look around me.
"No Rogue today?" I heard and realized that Mahir was standing beside me with a book and pen.
A smile stretched out on my lips and I scooped him up in my arms. He was covered in dirt and he smelled like a cat. No wonder he came here after playing with a cat. But still, I don't know why, it felt like he smelled similar. He smelled like... Nandini.
I still miss her. Fuck. I don't know why but seriously every second place I visit here in San Francisco, it smells of her. As if she's graced the place.
I must be dreaming. I chuckled and focused on the boy. It's been three days since I came here and this is our second meeting. Though the last time was a bit rough and bumpy, today I feel exceptionally happy around Mahir. He also looked inviting and delightfully put his one hand on my shoulder as he used the other one to hold his book and pen against my chest.
"Uh, yes there's no Rogue today. He's busy with some meetings." I said and removed hair from his eyes.
"It's no Rogue day today for us. Cool." I laughed while I watched Mahir trail his little hand all over my shoulder.
He appeared so cute. So tiny in my hands that a desire to squeeze him ignited in my chest. I held him tight and let him feel my shoulder under his fingers as long as he wanted it. I was also finding it soothing.
