I was heading to school earlier than usual because I had a test that I needed to study for math. Out of the corner of my eyes I noticed a boy around my age with slick black hair pulled back riding on a bike two girls nearby giggling and staring at him. I shook my head walking in the school heading off to the library throwing my stuff down on the table, settling down pulling notes out, a book and a few pieces of papers to write on.

"Morning (Y/n)" Griffin said, taking a seat in front of me. It didn't come as a shocker that he would be here probably searching for more books to read.

"Morning Griffin, how are you?" I asked, flipping through a couple pages. I wanted to quit math.

"Good, you?"

"I'm fine just studying for math"

"Good luck with that, you have Mr. Johnson right?"

"Yeah" I said with a groan. He was only one out of the two teachers who taught math. He talked way too fast but the other one struggled to explain math so you lost either way. He held in a laugh grabbing his books heading off.

"I'll see you later in gym. Bye!"

"Bye" I said returning back to the question, falling my head into the book holding in a sigh.

The bell rang as I got to math class pulling my notes out to quickly read, taking a peek up in case the teacher was around looking back down tapping my foot against the ground.

"Everyone put notes away for the test!" he yelled out. I groaned, putting my notes away as the teacher gave me a packet of papers. I got right in my test focusing on each answer even if I forgot in that minute everything I just learned. The door opens a boy walking in that one before causing the fight near school. Robin.

"Sorry I'm late" he said, grabbing the packet walking in the back. The only seat left was the one right next to me. Just my luck. He came over, throwing himself back in the chair looking over to me. I turned my head away going back to my test, finishing the packet, handing it to the teacher, lowering my head on the desk and taking a small power nap.

"How do you think you did on the test?" Griffin asks, leaning against the wall with a book laying across his lap. I shrugged laying on the bleachers staring at the ceiling.

"Will just have to see what I get" I said, a yawn escaping from my lips. He chuckled standing up on his feet.

"Hey I got a question"

"What's that?"

"It's Friday today right?"

"Yes, why???"

"Would you like to stop at the grab and go with me later after school?" he asked, tilting his head. It seemed like a tough question.

"Sure" I said, folding my hands across my lap. His smile grew bright. It made me feel a joy erupt inside me along with a slight sorrowful glem with how he struggled sometimes asking for things growing caution around me. But I knew inside this friendship would last like a knot.

"HEY! You two need to do something or else you'll fail this class!" the coach yelled at us. Griffin got up rushing to go find something to mess with while I got up regaining my thoughts walking away picking up a basketball. Griffin came back with one of his own trying to throw it into the hoop. I shook my head throwing it when he wasn't landing in a couple shots almost hitting a preppy girl for not moving out my way.

"You're good at this" he commented, throwing the basketball in the air.

"It was something I used to do when I got bored in gym" I said watching the ball fly through the air hitting the rim of the basket. We were still playing until the coach called it a day giving us a five minute early head start to change. I grab my bag heading into the girl locker room grabbing something from my locker before hearing a giggle nearby.

"Who would ever be friends with the weird loner freak"

"I know he so weird keeping to himself maybe he's a stalker for her"

Oh hell no. I slammed my locker close heading over to the two girls staring daggers at them.

"Were you two just talking about my friend?" I ask crossing my arms over leaning against a locker. Both of them didn't say a thing looking back at one another before looking back at me. "If I catch you two talking about him like that again I'll pay a visit"

I turned on my heels walking out the locker room slamming the door behind walking over to the boys standing near the door. The bell rang as all of them came running out like dogs with one pup trailing behind.

"Ready to go?"

"Yes"
