I tapped on the door taking a step back waiting for an answer. A woman around her late forties had opened the door and her eyes landed straight down on me as her once lingering glare turned to a warm smile.
"You must be (y/n), Robin in the living room with Finney" she said moving out of the way.
"Thank you Miss Arellano" I said, strolling inside turning to my right seeing Robin lying on the floor a groan escaping his lip. Finn was sitting near a coffee table with a book in his grasp. I waved at them both taking a seat near Robin, setting my bag next to the pile of math homework he had to do. Finn went on to explain to Robin about the math homework while I was reading into my study book for the upcoming math test. Soon it got boring though as I held my head back against the couch staring up at the ceiling.
"Hey (y/n) can you help Robin out? I'll be right back" Finn said, rushing off in the hallway leaving me and Robin alone in the living room.
"Still need help with math?"
"Yes" he said, rubbing his neck a little. I set my book down, moving closer to his side looking over to the sheet of homework he had set infront of him. I took a sheet of blank paper writing notes down for him setting it next to his homework "thanks (y/n)"
"Your welcome" I said, returning back to my book. Finn came back taking a seat near Robin looking at my notes that I had written for him. I didn't think much of it when Finn took the paper from Robin copying them down in his notebook. Me and Finn kept studying while Robin was finishing up the last piece of his homework.
Billy Pov
I was riding my bike delivering newspapers out to houses looking behind towards Rover who was trotting behind barking at me a little. I decided to take an extra shift after one of the other newspaper boys was late to show up but also I wanted to earn some extra money for a new jersey jacket. I kept peddling, grabbing another newspaper and throwing it out. out of the corner of my eye I noticed a black van pulling up.
"Rover come" I said, peddling over to the sidewalk. The van didn't pass me as it started slowing down a little. I got a bad feeling so I got back on the road pedaling faster, still throwing newspapers out until the black van sped up right past me coming to a halt. A man around his fifty jumped out wearing some sunglasses and clown makeup along with a red turtleneck and black jeans. I had no time as he ran over grabbing me. I tried to let out a scream before he raised his fist punching the side of my head as everything went dark.
(y/n) pov
"I'll see you two monday" I said standing next to the tree looking between Robin and Finn.
"See you monday" Robin said, turning back to the house walking inside."See you monday (y/n)" Finn said parting down one street. I went down the other street looking around until I heard barking from a far. I pick up the pace running over to the news seeing Rover.
"Hey where Billy?" I mumbled running over to him reaching down petting his head then I noticed Billy bike laying on the ground with newspaper spilling out his basket. I got up grabbing his bike looking around hoping Billy would just pop out of nowhere saying that he was playing around with me. Only after a few minutes did I realize he wasn't around anywhere. I took his bike walking off down to the police station. An old woman sat behind the desk looking at the newspaper as her attention turned to me.
"Hello there young lady, what brings you here?"
"Umm" the words were caught in my throat what was I even supposed to say in that moment "I believe my friend has gone missing"
"Why do you say that?"
"I was walking down the street and found his bike on the ground with his dog alone"
The woman nodded her head gesturing me over to take a seat as she walked off to the back yelling out for someone. I was staring at the ground twirling my fingers. A man walked up as he took a seat next to me.
"Hello, my name is Detective Wright. Now I'm going to ask you some questions, follow me" he said standing up again. I got up following him to the back as we walked into a hallway heading to the witness room. He took the shades, pulling them down, closing the door behind taking a seat. I took a seat on the other side looking down at the table as he pulled out a notepad taking a pen tapping the table a little. The first question was who he was and how he looked, then the next question was when the last time I saw him and a few more questions before I could go home. I got up walking out the station seeing Rover standing outside as I sighed, rubbing his head, walking to the post office.
"Rover go to Billy dad" I said looking down to the dog as he barked at me turning to the post office running over. I walked inside my house noticing my parents sitting on the couch as I walked past them not saying a word slamming my door shut behind before collapsing on the bed raising my hands over my face letting out a groan. First Griffin went missing, now maybe Billy is gone too. I turned to my side, grabbing the blanket and pulling it over me. First thing tomorrow after school I'm going to search for him.
