"So you're busy this whole weekend?" I question Donna while washing my hand in the sink watching the bubbles pop under the running water.

"My parents had plans for me and my brothers I'm sorry"

"Would you like us to then pick another day to work on it?"

"Finney said he wanted to get a head start" she said. Honestly it wasn't surprising he looked like the type of person to get work done early then everyone else.

"I'll talk to him in science on a plan" I said, ripping a paper towel out wiping my hands off crumpled it up to a ball tossing it over to the trash.

"Thank you so much (y/n)" she said with relief filling her face. I nodded my head strutting out the bathroom. The bell rang, everyone pushing their way to get to first period. Donna followed me closely behind so other students wouldn't push her out the way.

For the rest of class I was wondering about what my options would be instead of focusing. The bell rang as I headed off to the next class and after the next before getting into science spotting Finney in the back as I threw my bag next to the chair taking a seat.

"Hi (y/n) where is donna?" he asks, eyes gazing around the class. I shrug taking out a pencil and a notebook setting it between us. Donna still hadn't come when the bell rang starting class. We waited around a few more minutes but she still hadn't shown up yet.

"Donna wanted me to tell you she'll be busy for the weekend so it will be me and you working on the project" I said, cutting the silence between us. Finney let out a sigh playing with his rocket flashlight looking away from me.

"Could we still work on the project at your place then"

" What time and day were you thinking?" I ask, tapping my pencil on the desk.

"Saturday maybe around three" he said. I nodded my head ripping a piece of paper writing down my address and phone number handing it over to him.

"Here in case, you want to call me" I said as he took the paper out of my hand and stuffed it in the bottom of his bag. For the rest of the class, it was almost silence until Finney started a conversation.

"Do you have any s-sibling" he mumble playing with his rocket taking a glance to me.

"I got a younger brother he still in daycare, do you have any?"

"I got a sister name Gwen you kind of remind me of her from what happen in the bathroom"

"When I stuck up for you?"

he nodded his head yes looking to the ground as I smiled. we strike up another conversation this time about the project giving out a few ideas before the bell rang as I was rushing off. the rest of the day when by quick until I got to gym where Griffin sat perched up on the bleachers reading a book before seeing me waving his hand for me to come over. I smiled setting my bag next to his taking a seat.

"Hi (y/n) how are you?" he asked setting his book down looking over to me.

"I'm fine what about you?"

"I'm okay, so I was wondering when we called yesterday when you would like to hang out"

"Could we do it maybe tomorrow around the evening?" I asked resting my head against the wall yawning slightly.

"Okay we can hang at my place. my mother really likes you and said your allowed to come over any time you like" he said with excitement filled in his voice. I smiled towards him running my hand over his head before laying back trying to get some sleep if I possibly could. Griffin knew I was tired, so he just went back into his book leaving me alone until the bell rang signaling the weekend was now here. everyone was already rushing out trying to return home or to wherever as I got up stretching out my tired limps picking up my bag walking out of school as I saw my dad truck up ahead. he gave me a warm smile honking his horn as I laughed jumping in the passenger seat waving at Griffin before we took off.

"Who that boy?" my father ask gripping the wheel taking a turnout of the school parking lot onto the road.

"He my friend from school" I said not wanting to get my dad suspicion. he never had a strict rule on boys before but he never like any around his precious daughter. he took a turn down by the grab and go to a place called rocky mountain post office.

"Are you coming in or staying here?"

"I'm coming" I said hoping out the truck following after him inside. there was a lady sitting by the desk as a few people were running around picking up mail or dropping off some and there was Billy hanging around by some older gentlemen who I assumed to be his dad as he spotted me walking over.

"Hi (y/n)"

"Hi Billy" I said holding my hand to him as he took in his own grasp shaking my hand. both of our father started talking to one another about work and other grown up stuffed while me and Billy sat outside.

"Where is your dog?"

"Rover at home sick after he tried to eat some grass"

"Oh, poor dog"

"I tried to warn him"

"yeah" I said looking to Billy noticing the sport jacket he was wearing "do you play any sports?"

"No, I just like wearing these because they feel comfortable and warm" he said smiling a bit. we took up a few more conversation until my dad walked back out motion me to get back in the truck.

"See you around Billy" I said pushing myself back to my feet walking back in the truck taking a seat pulling the door close rolling the window down laying my head back kicking my legs up a bit folding my hands back yawning again closing my eyes.
