chapter one hundred and twenty-three

When I woke up the next morning, I found a note on my bedside table. I let out a yawn stretching my arms and legs out bumping it into Samson as he shot up barking at me a bit for disturbing his sleep before laying his head back down.

"Sorry Samson" I mumbled, rubbing my eyes a little, waiting for my body to adjust, waking up before rolling over to my side, reaching my hand out and picking up the note.

Good morning sweetie just wanted to let you know me and your father will be working a bit late, we will need you to pick up your brother from daycare. Don't get into any trouble, we both love you very much, have a good day.

I threw the note to the ground rolling over to my other side, closing my eyes hoping to get some more sleep till I heard the phone ringing from the kitchen as Samson started growling a bit. I took one of my pillows covering my ears trying to ignore the sound as it died down but after a minute the ringing came back as I pushed myself out of my bed walking out in to the kitchen ready to raise a storm as I picked up the phone.

"Hello?" I asked, trying to sound polite with a bit of irritation in my voice.

"Good morning pretty" Griffin said on the other end with a slight chuckle as my mood quickly brightened a bit.

"Oh, good morning, Babe" I said rubbing my neck a little bit

"How are you doing?"

"I'm okay and you?"

"I'm good, me and the others wanted to know if you like to hang out with us"

"Well of course but umm at what time?" I asked hoping that it would be later so I could just crawl back into the warmth of my bed.

"Bruce wanted to go after his baseball game so around 12 hopefully"

"Thanks babe" I said making a kiss sound at the end before hanging up crawling back into my room where I noticed Samson was stealing up half my bed as I pushed him away back to his side before crawling into bed pulling the blankets over me as I closed my eyes.

 About two hours passed by before I felt something heavy stabbing into my back along with a loud bark following behind as my eyes shot open.

"Ouch Samson, get off!" I shouted over his barking as he looked down at me wagging his tail before jumping off my back licking my face in apology before running off to the front door as I pushed myself out of bed looking over to the time seeing it was 12 o'clock and I was nowhere near being ready as I raced over to the living room peeking through the curtains finding all the boys standing by the front door waiting for me to let them in. I let out a groan rushing back into my room digging into my closet pulling out a pair of clothes tucking them under my arm running off to the bathroom. throwing the clothes on and taking the brush fixing my hair a bit then did everything else in under a few minutes it wasn't the best, but now I didn't look like a mess as I ran up to the door opening it.

"Hey boys" I said with a smile as they greeted me with either a hug or a kiss. 

"Ready to leave pretty?" Griffin asked holding his hand out to me.

"of course," I said taking his hand in mine as I turned back picking up my keys stuffing them into my pocket locking the door behind me before following the others as we started walking down the street over to the grab and go to grab some drinks. once we got inside Vance made his way over to his precious pinball machine putting a quarter in playing a round while I went off with Robin and Finn to the back of the store looking over at the sodas as I picked out a (f/s) while Robin and Finn picked out a Coca cola and a Pepsi while the others were picking out their drink beside Vance who was still busy playing pinball machine as Bruce just picked out a water bottle for the both of them as we paid for our drinks waiting for Vance to finish his game as we stood over by the door till Vance lost the game right before he could hit the high score as he started shouting at the machine a bit. I handed my drink over to Robin making my way over to Vance pulling him into a hug grabbing his attention away from the machine as I reminded him, we were going somewhere. he took my hand in his as we all started walking out the store over to the forest by our usual hangout spot to relax and talk to each other as I took a seat by the tree taking another sip of my drink as Griffin came over resting his head against my shoulder as I took his hand in mine looking out to the others as Vance and Robin were practicing fighting seeing who had better skills while Bruce, Billy, Finn were doing their own thing something about sport. a smile grew on my face as watched them doing their own things turning my attention back to griffin as I noticed he had fallen asleep. I moved myself around letting Griffin rest on me as I placed a kiss on his forehead letting him rest before the other called for my attention waking Griffin from his nap as he got up, I got up to my feet walking over to the others. 

"Yes?" I ask with a bit of a wonder as Billy grabbing Griffin arm whisper something to him as the others looked to each other before looking to me. 

"Well yesterday I told them how you were feeling so we wanted to say something to you" Billy said. my mind started wondering like a running train thinking of what they wanted to say as my mind was stuck wondering if it was something positive or negative as the boys held me close to them.

"We love you" they each said as my face turned a bright red while they each gave me a kiss on the cheek or forehead as I felt tears pricking at the corner of my eyes ready to fall any minute as I pulled them close to me.

"I love you all too" I said holding them all close as this wave of relief flood over me as we stayed hugging till, I had to get going as the boys gave me a kiss goodbye as we exchange another, I love you before I left.
