chapter one hundred and thirty-one

"Hey mom I'll be back home later tonight" I said while getting ready for work that day as my mother came storming into my room crossing her arms a bit.

"Why, if I may ask" she said, still having her arms crossed over her chest while I was searching through my closet looking for my jean jacket as I took it off the hanger, throwing it over myself.

"I'm going on a date to the drive in with robin to see foul play" I said walking past her out to the living room giving my brother a kiss on his forehead before walking over to the front door picking up my shoes pulling them on.

"I want you to be back home by at least ten o'clock!" my mother shouted as I rolled my eyes a bit, reaching out picking up my keys walking out the door slamming it shut behind me as I walked over to the garage dragging my bike out hopping onto the seat peddling off to work.

Once I got to work, I noticed it was running busy as I made my way off to the back picking up one of the free water's bottles, we had before walked over to the register taking over another one of the workers shifts as he thanked me before walking out the store. I quickly started to ring up people's orders while helping a few customers out pointing where snacks would be at or some of the drinks. I couldn't catch a break as more people kept coming and going, some even crowding in front of the store as I kept doing my work. That's when two teens came walking into the store as they made their way over to the pinball machine that was left untouched. Please please don't let Vance show up I thought. turning my attention over to another customer scanning the price, taking the money, handing back the sweets and some change as they thanked me before leaving. Then of course the door rang as I looked up seeing the one and only Vance Hopper as he came walking over to me with a slight smirk on his face.

"Hey, doll you look like a mess" he said with a chuckle as I rolled my eyes at him.

"We'll have you look around today everyone in town seems to be in here" I said, making Vance laugh a bit as he pulled me into a kiss. I wanted to melt into the kiss, but I couldn't right now with all the customers around as I pulled back. He looked a bit hurt but knew I was busy as he turned his head walking over to the pinball machine as he threatened the teens or what I assumed he threatened them when I noticed the one playing the machine quickly walk away from it while his friend followed after him muttering something. I shook my head and went back to helping customers again.

Once my shift was finally over, I couldn't help but cheer out in joy as I walked right out the store onto my bike riding over to Robin house. once I got there, I got off my bike walking over to the door lifting my hand knocking a few times resting my hand back down at my side. The door open as Robin stepped out looking up to me.

"Hello mi amor" he said wrapping an arm around my waist placing a kiss on my lips as I kissed him back wrapping my arms around his neck letting the kiss last for a minute or two before we pulled away to get some air. "Ready to see the movie?"

"Yes" I said as Robin took his hand as we walked off to his uncle truck but instead of taking a seat in the back Robin took me around to the back of the truck. I quickly pushed myself up and over as Robin jumped up pushing himself over as he took a seat while tapping his lap a bit. I sat back on his lap as I felt his arms wrap around me as I laid my head back against his chest. his uncle soon came out walking over to the back.

"you two ready to get going?" he asked 

"yes" Robin said as his uncle walked over to the driver seat as the truck roared to life and quickly his uncle sped out the driveway down the road as I gripped onto Robin for dear life while he was laughing turned his head reaching his hand tapping the back window as the truck seemed to go faster. soon my fear turned into laughter along with Robin as we were rocked around till suddenly, we both ended up on our backs laughing loudly as Robin rolled over to his side tilting my head to him as he pulled me into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around him kissing him back before the truck came to a halt as we both sat up. Robin got up to his feet kissing my cheek before jumping out the truck getting it set up for us while his uncle was off to get us snack.

"Here mi armor" he said handing me an extra blanket.

"Thank you, babe" I said wrapping the blanket around me even though I already had my jean jacket wrapped around me the blanket gave me extra warmth as Robin got back up in the bed taking a seat next to me wrapping his arm around me as his uncle came back setting down a bag of popcorn just as the movie was starting. "I like the character stella already nobody going to mess with her"

Robin just chuckled keeping his arm around me as I laid my head back on his shoulder while we continued watching the movie till it came to an end as I found myself dozing off a bit.

"So, what did you think of the movie mi amor?" 

"don't get mad at me but I thought the movie was kind of okay" I said looking up to Robin as he rubs my back agree with me that the movie was also okay as he hoped out the bed to throw away the left-over food as I laid back looking up to the stars. Robin came back noticing me looking up to the sky as he laid down right next to me. "Beautiful, isn't it?"

"Not as beautiful as you" Robin said taking his hand in mine as my face started to become red. the truck started up again as we drove down the road back to my house as Robin helped me out the bed pulling me close into a hug "goodnight mi amor" 

"Goodnight, I love you" I said kissing his cheek holding him close before letting go walking off to the front door grabbing my keys unlocking it as I looked back waving to Robin before walking inside tugging my shoes off. Samson head shot up from the couch as he jumped off wagging his tail a bit as I put a lip to my fingers setting my keys down before walking off to my room pulling my clothes off replacing them with pjs then I threw myself on the bed pulling the covers over closing my eyes.
