I felt myself floating as I fell back to the floor taking in short gasps of air. Darkness was circling around my vision in a way I wanted to invite it in. Billy noticed and came running over to my side holding me up.

"(y/n) please don't go please" Billy whispered, laying my head on his chest. Tears were falling from his face as his arm was coated in blood. My blood. I tilted my head to the floor as the ground was dripping. In the faint distance I could hear sirens coming. Would they make it in time?

"I-I want to go" I whisper, closing my eyes a little as Billy quickly shook me in his arms.

"No no you're not leaving us the ambulance will be here soon please hang on a little longer" he choked out placing one of his hands over the wound applying deep pressure to stop the flow.

"Billy if I don't make it just know you were an amazing friend all of you were-"

"(Y/n) you're going to make it just hang on" he said pleading and laying his head on top of mine. I closed my eyes as my body started going limp. I couldn't hang on for longer, I just wanted to let go.

In a few hours I open my eyes the constant sound of a beep singing behind me. There was a little white fabric blanket laying over me while white walls surrounded me inside of the dirty bloody gray walls. I sat up in the bed looking around, noticing Robin and Vance were also in the same room as me, each laying on a different hospital bed with bandages wrapped around them as they slept. A nurse suddenly came in as she gave me a warm smile setting a cup of water down. I took it quickly, chugging the little cup down the sweet feeling of cold water running down my throat washing away the ach.

"You're lucky to be alive miss (l/n) you almost bleed out" the nurse said, picking up a clipboard writing something down. I set the cup back down at my bedside table and ignored her comment looking at the two boys near me.

"Will they make it?"

"Oh yes they just need to rest it off" she said trying her best to reassure me as she lifted the blanket down looking at my bandage wound that covered almost my whole stomach. She put the blanket back, handing me a remote in case I wanted to watch tv as she left to go help someone else. I took the remote pressing through buttons just to figure out how to turn the tv on before switching through channels. It was late at night so nothing much was on besides the news; some ad branding clothes or a show where adults were playing games to earn money. I switched through the channels trying to get the game show until I landed on the local news seeing detective wright and the chief police.

"My name is chief walker of the Denver police department our community long nightmare has finally come to a bittersweet end tonight with the rescue of the missing kids, here are the facts of the case by the men who broke it, detective wright"

"Thank you chief"

I quickly turned the tv off, throwing the remote across the room. I didn't want to hear it anymore. I just wanted the nightmare to be a faded dream. I turned to my side pulling the thin silk blanket around me laying my head on the single pillow. The comfort welcomed me like an old-time friend, no spring poking into my side, nobody pushing into my side or rolling over my stomach to crush me, the free room just all to myself.

The sleep didn't last for long though as another nurse came by shaking me a little to wake me up as she changed my iv-tube giving me a cup of water and some food to eat on.

"Thank you" I mumble while taking the cup of water taking a few sips.

"You're welcome, dear I'm sorry what happened to you" she said turning on her heels clicking her way out the room. I set the cup down rolling over to my side facing the boys who were still sound asleep. I closed my eyes listening to the constant beeping, the only sound left to drown the noise of everything else.

By the time it was breaking daylight the hospital turned into a rush with people going by nurses rushing around with trays of things or strolling down the halls talking to each other. The boys were still resting though as I could hear constant snoring coming from Vance that was soon growing annoying.

"Sweetie!" my mother slightly screamed running over to me hugging me as I yelped gripping at the bandages as she quickly pulled away instead giving me kisses all over my face. My father followed after her holding my brother as he clapped his hand reaching out to me crying a little.

"I missed you too" I said, holding my arm out, stealing my brother away, setting him on my lap as he wrapped his tiny arms around me. I laid my arm around him looking over to my parents seeing my mother's teary expression while my dad grew pissed. They only had a quick visit though needed to drop my brother off for daycare and go to work as I understood giving them all a kiss on the cheek before they left. I was hoping they would come again for another visit so I could tell them what had happened. they weren't the only one either I had hope to see today. I turned over to my side turning on the tv again watching some cartoons.
