chapter eighteen

I was walking into science class pump for the project since it was due today and I could stop stressing about it till I noticed Robin walking out giving me a glance that said good luck then I noticed Finn pacing around by our desk eyes darting around waiting for someone.

"Hey Finn, you okay?" I asked setting my bag down taking a seat leaning back. 

"Have you've seen Donna this morning?"

"At English why?"

"I gave the rocket to her yesterday so she could paint it for us, and she was supposed to give it to me this morning but hasn't" he said quickly scrambling his words a little. I don't worry about it like he was knowing that Donna would keep the rocket safe, and she probably has it right now she just running late which is unusually for her. I got up pushing my chair back walking off. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to look for Donna stay here and please don't worry" I said turning down heading to the girl bathroom. I knew Finn would still be freaking out by the time I get back. I entered the girl bathroom taking a quick glance around not finding her so then I went over to the library still nowhere in sight until I entered the nurse's office finding Donna with another one of her friends.
"Hey Donna, we got to get going back to Finn" 

"Oh sorry (y/n) I was helping my friend can you take the rocket and go back to Finn?" she said digging through her bag pulling out the rocket that was painted all white beside the tip which was painted in red. 

"Okay, I'll tell you if we win" I said heading back to science class sitting next to a not so worried Finn once he saw I had the rocket but had a questionable look. "Before you ask Donna with her friend and won't be able to see your cute face"

"Oh, shut it jerk" he said his face turning pink as I burst out laughing.  the teacher came in right as the bell rang looking at all our builds as he pushed up his glasses grabbing a few sheets of paper.

"Everyone grab your rockets were heading outside" he said walking out. everyone did as he said being careful to not break their rockets leaving me and Finn the last one to walk out. I let Finn hold the rocket so he wouldn't pester me about dropping it as we got outside, he set the rocket down on a pile of dirt. I took a seat down in the shade while waiting for everyone to go by testing out their rockets to see how high they could go till it came to our turn. the teacher wrote something down then look to us. Finn went into his bag pulling out a remote control pushing a button sending our rocket shooting up higher and higher than the other one as it kept going before running out of fuel plummeting back down till Finn pushed another button as a parachute opened up catching it fall. the teacher nodded his head in approval writing down a few more things. "The winners are (y/n), Donna and Finn!" 

I jumped right out my skin running to Finn pulling him in a hug as he jumped slightly not excepting it but gave me a hug back. he gave us a sheet on how well we done as I saw the a on top cheering slightly. I couldn't wait to show my parents. Finn took the rocket to keep as I didn't mind while I went off to share the news with Donna.

I got in the nurse office finding Donna sitting on that uncomfortable green bed as she pops up walking over to me.

"Who won?"

"We did" 

"that's amazing!" she said before returning her attention to her sick friend. I took off looking around hoping to find Finn again as I saw him and Robin walking towards the front door. 

"Hey wait for me!" I shouted running up bumping into Robin side a little "where you two going?"

"To the grab and go want to join princesa?" Robin said giving me a question look. I nodded my head walking with them I guess a lot of people had the same idea because the grab and go was filled with a lot of people beside one person that was always there to fill in the spot for that pinball machine. Finn went to the back looking at some of the new soda on display while Robin was picking up some snacks and I was just passing down the aisle watching these two boys shoving one another just messing around until one of them got shoved bumping into me making me bump right into the pinball machine.

"What the fuck!" Vance yelled digging his hand throw his hair. oh shit. I step back away from the game the boys that had run into me were already rushing outside to a safer aera watching the scene. Robin noticed what was going on as he came next to my side waiting for Vance to start a fight. he looked me dead in the eye as his friend mumbled something to him. he gave me another glance and returned back to the machine pulling another quarter out his pocket playing another round. I was thankful but shocked that he didn't snap at me. Finney was also shocked as he stood like a deer in headlights until Robin nudge him as we all decided it was probably best now to leave. I couldn't stay around long either as I had to go home to get up early tomorrow to help Billy as I said goodbye to the boys running off back home.
