chapter seventy-one

The boys caught onto what Michael was doing as this morning he had his arm wrapped around (y/n) dragging her off to class before they could get a chance to talk to her. Robin had an idea to talk to (y/n) in math class but when he noticed she wasn't there he got pissed telling the others. Knowing they wouldn't be able to get close to (y/n) without Michael around they needed to think of a person to get close to her. First, they ask Gwen then Amy, but Michael already knew who they were and had done the same thing to them. They were all standing around Finn's locker as they started to think before Donna came walking past as Finn suddenly got an idea. Though (y/n) and Donna didn't hang around a lot they were still amazing best friends, but Michael didn't know that.

"Donna!" Finn shouted running over to her.

"Oh, hi Finn"

"Can I ask you a favor?"

"What's that?"

Finn grew nervous, worried about telling Donna his feelings for her friend after he had a crush on Donna before but was more worried about anyone finding out he and his friends liked the same girl. Vance didn't give a shit as he step forward slightly pushing Finn back more like shoving him as robin pulled him over to his side.

"Look we like (y/n) all of us and Michael also likes (y/n) we think and he's being a fucking dick, so we need your help to talk to (y/n)"

Donna stood there for a second before a gasp left her lip. You think she would be made her crush like her best friend or that she would tell everyone but instead she agreed to help them out supporting the idea as the boys each took a sigh of relief and told Donna where (y/n) and Michael might be as she happily walked off to the library.

Back to (y/n) Pov
This morning I was going to talk to the boys about Michael and try to clear things up till Michael came up asking if we could hang out for today because he still wasn't feeling the best. I decided to stay next to his side since it would just be for today then I could talk to the boys but when I noticed them looking pissed at Michael I wondered if Michael was telling me the truth. When second period had come, I was already up out of my chair heading to math hoping I could talk to robin till Michael pulled me off to the nurse office complaining he had a headache. I was just going to drop him off till he asked me to stay next to his side, so I did. By the time lunch came around I was excited to eat something till Michael told me about the options for lunch.

"I guess we will be sharing again" I said with a slight chuckle walking my way to the lunchroom till Michael grabbed my hand.

"(y/n) if it's okay could we eat in the library my headache is still bugging me and a loud lunchroom won't help" he said with pleading eyes giving me a warm smile.

"Oh sure" I said, turning around the other way walking to the library. To my surprise it was completely empty even the librarian wasn't here. I didn't think much of it as we both took a seat in the back while Michael pulled out his meal containing an apple, chicken nuggets and a salad with a packet of ranch dressing. 

He took a few pieces of the chicken nuggets, handing it over to me as I dug in, ignoring the empty silence that came into the room till Michael spoke up.

"(y/n) remember that time you said things weren't so great here"

"Yeah, why?" I question leaning back in my chair tapping on my leg a little while chewing at the corner of my lip

"Could I know why? It's okay if you don't want too but it's been bugging me for a while"

I still didn't want Michael to know but then would he just go looking out for himself. What if I'm just making a big deal out of it and it isn't that bad besides he's, my friend. what's the worst that could happen?

"Okay there was a man, he was nickname the grabber because he kidnapped these kids and I was one of them" I said going on with my story explain how it all began, who was kidnapped and the rest of the story "and then I took the cord of the phone and snapped his neck before passing out and recovering at the hospital to now today"

Michael sat there in silence as my brain went into panic screaming at myself. I shouldn't have told him till Michael leaned over pulling me into a hug.

"I'm sorry that happened to you I shouldn't have asked"

"It's fine" I said looking down at the ground once we pulled away as he put his hand under my chin making me look back up at him.

"Well, he's gone now, and he can never hurt you again. If he does come back, I'll protect you" he whispers leaning forward. I couldn't help but smile a little even if I knew the grabber couldn't come back somehow hearing those words made me feel safe as I felt myself leaning closer to him. then I heard a cough as I pulled back away from Michael looking over seeing Donna. 

"Sorry I was just here to grab a book" she said taking a Stephen king book. I was about to tell her that she grabs a horror book instead of her usually romance or fantasy, but she quickly left after that. I just shrug it off going back to the little lunch that Michael set up. 

third person Pov
Donna had gone back into the lunchroom as each the boys jumped up wanting to hear the news if she had the chance to talk to (y/n) just to hear the possible worse news as she told them when she got there (y/n) and Michael almost kissed. Robin and Vance were burning with anger inside, Bruce was upset taking his tray of food dumping it out throwing the tray with the others before walking out the lunchroom to not cause a scene as Finn, Griffin and Billy were left with a flood of sadness. each of them wanted to take (y/n) back but if she was happy with Michael more than them, they wouldn't change that. but Donna had other plans.
