chapter sixteen

I was walking around the hallway looking around for Griffin wanting to tell him about the black balloon I had seen until Donna came overlooking bubbly as usually holding a smile.

"(Y/n) (Y/n) you have to come over to my house and see the stuff I got" she said rushing over her words a little.

"Okay donna I will I will" I said laughing a little holding on to the strap of my bag still looking around then I felt a shove on my back as I shot a glare to whoever it was seeing it was Finney and Robin.

"Oh, um hi Donna and (y/n)" he said looking over to Donna turning a little pink. Robin nudged his friend over to her while he stood next to my side.

"Hi (y/n)" he said casually like we knew each other for a lifetime.

"Hi Robin" I mumble folding my hands on one another looking over to him. We didn't say another word after Donna linked her arm with mine tugging me to English class. We took a seat to the far back right pulling out our books getting class started until Donna tapped my shoulder.

"How was working with Finney?"

"It was a bit awkward, but we got it done in time for it to be due.... when do we have to turn it in?" I ask peering down at my book acting like I was reading.

"It's due by Friday"

"Thanks Donna" I mumble going back to my book, kicking my legs up a little to relax.

By the time lunch was coming around I was walking through the hallways still searching for Griffin wondering if he was already at lunch. I walked in looking around at the table seeing Donna sitting with Finney and Robin. he wasn't in here either my stomach started swirling a bit, the thought of food leaving my mind and my body turning a bit cold. I didn't stick around for long walking back out in the hallways wondering if I should go to the library or somewhere else.

By the time it was gym I was rushing around looking for Griffin realizing he wasn't here either. Now I know something. He never skipped school in his lifetime even if he wanted to, he would still come around to hang out with me. I took a seat on the bleachers pulling out my sketch book drawing to pass the time while everyone else was doing some type of activity. The bell finally rang as I packed up my things rushing out until three boys stood in my path blocking me the same once I stopped from bullying Finney.

"Hi there" I said trying to move around them as the one with orange hair reached his hand out grabbing my arm pulling me back. I knew this wasn't going to end well.

"Leave her alone" Robin called out walking over to us looking up to the one with orange hair who I assume to be the leader. He took a glance at his minions letting me go pushing me back over to Robin as they left.

"Why did you help me?" I ask moving away from his side a bit.

"Finney told me you help him plus you're cool and a bit Funny" he said flashing a smile before walking away to Finney who stood a few feet away watching the sense as they left leaving me by myself for only just a minute.

"(y/n) are you coming?" Donna asked, standing over by the front door as I strolled after her.

"So, what do you have to show me?"

"I want to show you some new hair designs, my necklace and I also got this movie I want you to see" she said listing off the things going on and on about her trip and what she had gotten. We had reached her house where two of her older brothers were running around playing basketball.
"Don't mind them"

We walked past them staying out of the danger zone so the ball wouldn't end up flying at one of our heads. She gestured to me to go up to her room while she went off to grab some drinks for us. The first thing I saw when I walked in was the poster of Disney movies along the wall with some drawing then a desk probably for her studies along with a jewelry box filled to the brim and a makeup box. She also had her own tv on top of a dresser with a vhs tape already out ready to play. She came in with a crush soda bottle and (f/s) handed it to me.

"Thanks, what movie are we going to watch?"

"Lady and the tramp" she said, setting her bottle down taking the vhs out popping it in coming back over to my side taking a seat as the movie started. Halfway through the movie she showed me her jewelry box. then she showed me some of her makeup. By the time the movie ended I wanted to get going home to try and call Griffin to check in if he was okay.

"Thanks for having me Donna but I have to get going home"

"Okay (y/n) it was nice having you over" she said smiling giving me a slight hug. I hugged her back grabbing my bag heading out the door rushing back to my place stopping in my tracks when I noticed a paper stapled on a pole. Everyone was always putting something up like a lost dog or a yard sale or babysitting jobs ect. I got curious walking over looking at it just to see a photo of Griffin along with big bold letters saying missing.
