chapter seventy

The boys had come by to hand me my homework while I was still recovering till on thursday my mother woke me up early sending me off to school. Once I was dropped off I made my way to first period when I felt an arm around my shoulder. I spun my head around seeing it was michael.

"Where have you been???"

"I was sick"

"Oh I'm sorry to hear, I wish I could help you"

"It's okay Michael" I said with a smile "did you get your schedule yet?"

"Yeah"

"Could I see?" I asked, holding my hand out as he took his bag digging around pulling out a crumpled piece of paper handing it over to me with a slight smile as I unraveled the paper noticing we had English, math, science and gym together as I smiled with glee knowing another one of my friends would be able to hang out with me. I pointed them out to him as I took his hand leading him too English. Donna was already waiting for me as she noticed Michael and looked slightly nervous. I just shrugged it off taking a seat next to her pulling my book out while Michael sat in the desk in front of me taking his comic book out. Donna suddenly pulled me into a conversation about Romeo and Juliet before the teacher shushed us trying to teach a lesson.

"Tell me (y/n) you wouldn't want a boy that would go against his family to date you?"

"I'm not even going to answer the question" I whisper leaning back in my seat hearing Michael slightly chuckling to himself.

Once first period was over Michael grabbed his bag walking over to me leaning back against the wall waiting while I packed up my bag grabbing his hand walking to math class with him. Robin was walking down the hallway waving over at me as I waved back at him with my free hand. A scowled spread on Robin's face, noticing Michael's hand was wrapped around (y/n) as Michael noticed flashing a smirk that went away once (y/n) looked back at Michael. I took my hand away from Michael walking over to Robin giving him a hug not noticing Robin was flipping off at Michael flashing the same smirk back. We all walked to math class as I sat next to Robin laying my head on his chest pulling out my notebook sketching out a design while Robin wrapped his hand around me.  

when the lunch bell rang, I was already off to the cafeteria because today was pizza day and dam there was just something about that pizza that was so good. Michael was sitting at the table opening his lunch box as I made my way over taking a seat next to him setting my tray down looking around. Finn came over setting his tray down sitting across from me giving me a gentle smile.

"How are you feeling?" he asked 

"I'm feeling better thank you for taking care of me on Sunday" I said returning back the smile picking up the slice of pizza taking a few bites while the rest of the others joined us. Michael went through his paper bag pulling out an orange splitting it in half giving the other part to me as I whisper a thank you peeling the orange taking a piece.  the table went silent no one saying a word as I shifted in my seat looking around. 

"(y/n) do you have any plans?" Michael asked sipping on his water bottle. 

"Um not that I know of"

"Would you like to hang out with me on Saturday?"

"yeah" I said with a bit of excitement. each of the boys held a glare at Michael but didn't say a word. Michael took a slip of paper writing down his address and phone number slipping it to me as I took it stuffing it in my back pocket picking up my tray dumping the trash before placing it with the other dirty trays walking to the table.

"guys I'll be right back I just need to go to the bathroom" I said rushing off quickly. 

Michael Pov
once she was gone, I looked over at each of the guys with a glare. when I first got here, I didn't really enjoy life back home in New York being friends with nobody sticking to myself but now I had (y/n). I wasn't going to lose her over these guys who think they could have her.

"You know I already got her wrapped around me so why don't you all just back off already" I snapped as the one guy Vance I think he was called slammed his hands on the table looking ready to beat the shit out of me.

"she isn't yours you know" one of the others spoke up.

"She isn't yours either and one girl dating six guys that looks disgusting and there no such thing as that"

"We could make it happen" Vance said 

"All she'll ever seen you guys are her friends and nothing more meanwhile I'll be climbing my way to the top" I said picking up the paper bag crumpling it up getting out of my seat walking off dumping it in the trash heading my way out.

back to (y/n)
I was washing my hands looking to the mirror brushing a few strands of hair back before walking out running into someone as I Jumped back about to apologize looking up to see it was Michael as he kept his eyes to the ground not looking up to me.

"Michael are you okay" I asked walking up to him laying one of my hands on his arm as he sighed pulling back away from me looking up at me pulling back his hair.

"no"

"what's wrong?" 

"I don't think your friends like me"

"why?" 

"Because as soon as you left, they started saying a bunch of bullshit and were going to tell you lies about me" he said. for a minute I was shocked at how they could do that, but it sounded nothing like them Finn, Griffin, Billy, Bruce would never spread lies about a person, Vance doesn't give a shit about others unless it's the group and Robin could never. 

"I'll talk to them later, come let's go to the library" I said taking his hand in mine as we walked off to the library taking a seat in the back pulling my book out leaning against Michael side as we both read.
