chapter fifty

I was back in that fucking basement. Honestly it came to no surprise I was experiencing another nightmare. I was used to it by now.

"Okay Grabber, where are you!" I shouted pacing around the room as the door opened. There he was as he stepped down in the light. I could see he was only wearing his mask, shirtless and a pair of jeans. I was disgusted by the sight as I stepped back ready to run out or fight back as he chuckled holding out the belt.

"You know you still need your punishment for disobeying me"

"I haven't done anything"

"You tried to escape" he snarled under his mask stepping closer to me gripping the belt.

"I wonder why"

"You little shit!" he shouted charging at me as I jumped away taking off up the stairs with the man right behind me as I grabbed the door slamming it shut locking it collapsing on the floor for just a small break to catch my breath.

"You think you can escape" a voice taunted behind me as I was grabbed by my waist and thrown back onto the tile floor. I tried kicking my legs out as the grabber held me down, raising the belt ready to strike me.

"(y/n) (y/n) (y/n) wake up" a voice whispered as I felt another pair of arms shaking my side. I shot up out of bed quickly finding myself in the arms of Billy as he held me close. The others were also awake looking scared even Vance looked disturb.

"(y/n) are you okay" Finn asked, sitting up in the sleeping bag rubbing his eyes a little.

"N-no" I said, curling up a little while holding my legs. "I had a nightmare about the grabber"

"What happened in that nightmare?" Billy asked, laying a hand over my back as I talked about every detail in the dream. I didn't want to mention the other nightmares of the grabber haunting my life. They already had enough on their plate.

"Well, the fucker gone now maybe he's pissed you killed him" Vance joke trying to ease up the situation as I couldn't help but laugh a little. The boys stayed up with me for a while before I could lay my head back down to try and get some more sleep but once the boys fell back to sleep, I pushed myself out of bed opening the window to the fresh cold breeze. I sat down at my desk looking out at the sky counting at every star.

"They're beautiful right?" Finn asked, standing next to me.

"How come you're still up?" I asked, glancing at Finn leaning back into my seat crossing my arms a little.

"I couldn't sleep worrying about my friend" he said, looking down at me. I tried to hold back a smile at his sweet behavior, but I didn't want him to lose any rest just for me. He glanced back out my window looking up at the stars then the moon.

"Finn, you need sleep though"

"Nope I'll stay up with you"

"You're too kind sometimes" I whispered, nudging his side as he pushed me back a little. we stayed at the window just staring out at the sky until Finn went back to his sleeping bag as I crawled into bed closing my eyes.

I woke up early then the rest as I felt an arm around me noticing Billy was still asleep mumbling under his breath Rover. I slowly fell out of bed sneaking out the room closing the door behind me as I made my way into the kitchen finding a note on the fridge.

hey sweetie I'm at work and took your brother to daycare I hope you all enjoy your sleepover I left some money if you all want to stop at the grab and go for snacks- love mom

"Thanks mom" I whisper taking the money walking back into my room taking a book off my shelf to read as the others were slowly waking up leaving Vance as the last person to wake up as we wait for one hour soon one hour became two then three. we all started debating to wake up Vance but Finny and Griffin back down at that idea not wanting to see an angry morning Vance but if we stayed here any longer, we wouldn't have a bunch of time to hang out. 

"I'm going to wake him up" I said while the boys huddle up in a corner watching. I got down on my knees moving closer to Vance wondering how I could wake him up as I suddenly got an idea pulling the blanket off of him putting my freezing hand on his back as he jolted awake. 

"(y/n) what the fuck wrong with you"

"Good afternoon, Vance" I said with a devil smirk getting back on my feet "come on were heading to the grab and go for snacks and you can have some coins to play the pinball machine"

"Hmm okay" he said getting up walking out the room as the boys looked at me in shock. I shrugged making my way out into the living room pulling my shoes on as we all took off to the grab and go. I gave Vance four quarters as he rushed off to the pinball machine shoving some poor kid out his way. I went off searching around for some candy picking up (c/n) giving the worked some money taking the quarters giving them to Vance while I watch him play as he kept hitting the buttons watching the ball hit point after point. the others came over to also watch as we stuck around the store for a bit till, I saw my dad truck pulling up.

"See you all on Monday" I said turning away from the game walking out the store noticing moose standing next to the barber store staring at me with a slight glare. I shook the feeling off hoping into my dad truck leaning back into the seat staring out the window.
