chapter forty-nine

I burst through the doorway throwing myself on the couch wrapping myself up in a throw blanket. Finn took over Robin's place as he lifted my head up giving him a seat as he laid my head back down in his lap running his hand over my hair.

"That was a disaster" I mumble moving closer to Finn while gripping the blanket pulling it closer.

"They had to ask those questions though" Bruce said, sitting in front of me rubbing my side. I didn't mind the comfort they both gave until I sat up shaking the boys away leaning my back against the cushion.

"Shouldn't there be like a limit to what you can ask? I don't want to talk about what that man did to us in the basement"

"Nope" Griffin said, sitting on the floor slightly away from the rest of the group. I felt sick again as I rushed off the couch to the bathroom gripping the toilet again. Bruce went after me this time taking a seat on the floor next to me. I couldn't get anything out though nothing would come out. My stomach was empty with the lack of food I haven't eaten for a while as my mind kept screaming at me to get it all out.

"Hey (y/n) look at me" Bruce said, raising his hand to my cheek making me turn my head over to his direction. "Do you want us to stay over for the night?"

"P-please" I begged with warm tears pricking in the back of my eyes ready to slip out. He nodded his head getting up to tell the others as I stayed on the cold bathroom floor with my head over the toilet and my legs quivering underneath. I hope if my parents got back, they wouldn't send the others away. I really need them now. We all needed each other right now.

Once I got a minute to calm myself down draining my thoughts away as I stood back up walking out to the living room noticing the boys pulling the couch into the hallway.

"Umm what the fuck going on????"

"We're moving this heavy couch to your room! Move cunt wad!" Vance shouted at Finn who was just trying to help as I shook my head walking to my room opening the door.

"You're not going to get it in here" I said jumping on my bed having a little show for myself as the boys all struggled finding ways to fit the couch into my room as they all screamed at each other where to go. It was amusing. Soon they all got the couch turned pushing it into my room setting it down in front of my bed the only space left that it could fit. I got up leaving the boys to themselves to get the couch set up how they like as I went in the kitchen picking the phone up dialing my mother's work number.

"Hello there, how may I help you today?

"Mother it's just me"

"Oh, hi sweetie how did it go at the police station"

"Umm not so great the question freaked me out, so I wanted to get out of there"

"Oh, sweetie I'm sorry do you need me to come home?"

"No, I wanted to ask something"

"What's that?"

"The others are with me right now and I want them to spend the night at our house we're all shaken up about today"

"Um sweetie-"

"Can they?" I asked. The phone went silent for a bit with each of us not saying a word till I heard a sigh on the other end.

"Okay but don't tell your dad"

"Won't he see though?"

"He's got a business trip"

"Oh okay"

"Also don't be too loud at night"

"Yes, yes mom I understand" I said hanging up the phone so she couldn't lecture me anymore on rules or other things. When I got back to my room, I noticed the boys all fighting over who was sleeping on the floor or couch.

"It was my idea of the fucking couch and I'm not sleeping on the floor" Vance said making a fuse more than the others. I let out a cough to catch everyone's attention.

"Who's okay with sleeping on the floor?" I asked. Finn, Griffin, Bruce were the ones okay with sleeping on the floor, Robin said he's in between sleeping on the floor and not while Billy and Vance weren't much open to the idea of sleeping on the floor. "Okay me and Billy share my bed. Vance, Griffin, Robin gets the couch then Finn and Bruce will take the floor I'll go grab some sleeping bags"

Once everything was settled, we all decided to go out the living room sitting on the floor arguing a bit over what movie to watch till it came down to Robin movie choice with the Texas chainsaw massacre.

"I thought we would all watch it on Halloween" I said taking the vhs my father owned popping it in.

"Well, we can watch it today" he said leaning back against the wall next to Finn. I walked off to the kitchen grabbing a Jiffy popcorn turning the stove on waiting around until it started popping as I shook the pan till it grew and grew about ready to burst. I turned the stove off pouring the popcorn in the bowl walking back over to the living room setting it down between me and Bruce. throughout the movie Finn and Griffin had a look of fear on their face. Vance and Robin were staring at the tv while Bruce was looking at the scene interested into what would happen next as Billy was slightly peaking a bit through his hand at any jump scare coming up. 

"Come on come on" I whispered under my breath as the main character was running for her life jumping into the back of a man truck as he took off. I jumped in the air spilling the bowl of popcorn on Robin and Bruce. "Sorry!"

"Hey just like last time" Robin joked 

"What happened last time?" Billy asked curious as Vance turned his head to us also wanting to know.

"Nothing! none of your business" I said glaring daggers at Robin to keep his mouth shut. I went to clean up the mess before throwing the popcorn away crawling into my room falling on the bed with Billy taking a seat on the edge as everyone came in taking their places on the floor or couch.

"Move dip shit" Vance said to Griffin as I took a spare pillow throwing it at him as he just laughed taking the spare pillow all for himself. Finn got up turning the light off for us as we all said our goodnights before I closed my eyes hoping maybe I could Finally get a good night's sleep.
