chapter seventy-five

(Before we begin this chapter i just wanted to say my plan for this story, don't worry (y/n) will end up closer to the boys and start to realize her feelings soon rather then later and discover something about Michael. And in the story with the character and donna i see her trying to balance out both the understand of the boys and her best friend as she wants to help but dosen't want to hurt her friend in anyway and thank you for the people that read this story but anyways enjoy)

When Michael had set me back down, I turned my head back around looking for Griffin to realize he wasn't here anymore. I took Michael's hand as he led me to the locker room giving me a quick hug around my waist before walking to the boy's lockers. I made my way into the girl's locker room changing out the sweaty clothes to more my normal style.

Donna Pov
I told the boys about (y/n) and Michael date. They each wanted to go up themselves to ruin the date as we first stuck to the idea of me going to grab her attention and the boys would show up at some point, but then another idea had come to my head when my best friend was talking about this romance story about a secret admirer leaving notes for his crush. It was a perfect idea of my plan to show (y/n) who she should be dating instead of just barging in on her date and so Michael wouldn't catch on. So I spent my last class focusing on school work and with the little time I had left I pulled out a sheet of paper folding it over writing down a love note dashing my way out of class once the bell rang running up to her locker shoving it in then I made my way over to the boys who were all huddle around talking as I motion them for to watch as a bright smile grew on my face. I loved playing matchmaker.

Back to (y/n)
I was making my way to my locker as I needed to pick up my math book for studying for the upcoming test. I was twisting the lock, throwing it open as something fell in front of my face. I jumped back in surprise assuming the worst for a sec until I realized it was a piece of paper. I bent down picking it up, flipping the paper around wondering if it was something I wrote down for a class when I noticed a drawn-out heart. Aww Michael so sweet but as I opened it, I noticed it wasn't from Michael.

"Dear (y/n) don't be frightened by this letter but you have a secret admirer you may not know me, or we may be very close, when I see your smile I get butterflies in my stomach, the way your eyes spark I wonder what you're thinking about. I wish I could tell you who I am, but I'll let you find out yourself. Form your secret admirer" 

I read that over and over again as I stuffed the letter into my back pocket grabbing my things leaving school and once, I got home I dropped everything down making my way to my room pulling the letter out again setting it on my desk. I was looking for any clues to who this person was as I took my pencil underlining the word smiled when I got butterflies and eyes sparkling as I had also a circle around that we may be very close. It felt dumb at first but maybe I could figure out soon who this letter came from but then I started wondering if I should go with Michael on that date. My heart screamed at me that we should go but my brain was overpowering it and then I got that feeling again in the pit of my stomach that it wasn't right, the same gut feeling I got before about the grabber. I didn't want to ignore it as I got up making my way into the kitchen picking up the phone dialing Michael number tapping my foot on the ground waiting for him to pick up. It rang then rang and rang before it went silent as I set the phone back down. I had to cancel that date with Michael. I sat back on the couch nervously rubbing my hands together wondering of a way I could cancel the date as I was making up a story. The phone rang as I jumped up off the couch also tripping over my seat running over to the phone picking it up wrapping the cord around my finger.

"Hello (y/n)" Michael said with a concerned tone "is something wrong?"

"Umm yeah sorry Michael I can't go on that date my parents are going out on a date and I have to watch my baby brother because he has a cold"

"Oh, I could come over and help if you like"

"Thank you, Michael, but no I don't want you to get sick too, we could try again next week"

"But-"

"Sorry I have to go!" I shouted over the phone quickly putting it back up as I let out a groan rubbing my face. I felt bad in a way, but I needed to solve this letter. I went back to my room walking back and forth biting my nails. Who did this strange note come from? Would I get another? Will there be clues? So many unanswered questions that were killing me. I fell back on the bed with a groan when a thought came to my mind. Donna! Of course, she would love the idea of romance and had a better understanding that I couldn't beside the fact that loving was this or that. then the phone started to ring as I rushed back out. please don't be Michael please don't let it be Michael.

"Hi (y/n)" Finn said on the other side as I let out a sigh of relief, I felt my face turn a little bit red ad I heard his voice, so I tried to brush it off.

"Finn I'm so glad to hear from you, are you okay???" I asked leaning against the wall running my fingers through my hair.

"Yeah, I'm okay sorry for worrying you in science, I wanted to know if you want to have a sleep over at my home me and the others had planned about it for a while, we did try to talk to you, but Michael was with you"

"I would love to go" I said quickly gripping the phone a bit I missed hanging around with them like I was missing a part of myself, and I know that Michael was hanging around with me a lot and I just wanted a break from him it didn't feel right.

"Saturday it starts around six"

"Okay I'll be there"

"Bye"

"Bye" I whisper putting the phone back with a sigh before making my way back to my room curling up in bed. sleep would do me good right now. I closed my eyes soon falling back into that abyss.
