"WHAT?!" Your mother screeched, her face turning red. She bought a hand to her cheek and clutched it tenderly.

All of a sudden, you did not think of your mother as a parental figure, but as an enemy. You knew that you loved her, but you had to suppress your sentimental feelings for her because if you didn't, Larissa would be taken from you.

For a second, it felt as if time had frozen. Who knows how long it had been? A minute? An hour? A day? Or just a second? Neither of you knew what to do. You were trembling under the pressure, a fiery, red-hot tear came to your eye. You blinked it away; your mother could never see you cry again.

You ran out of the room, your mother chasing after you, a broken look on her face. A single, silent tear stained her cheek and you looked back at her one last time before leaving her.

A few minutes later, you were sitting in your car, sobbing as you connected your phone for music. It continued the song you were listening to the day before, All To Well TMV (Taylors' version).

You left it playing, letting all the pain leave your body. As you scrolled on your phone, there were 3 knocks at the window. You looked up to see your wife smiling down at you.

She walks round to the other door and sits next to you. You don't say anything, instead continuing to listen to Taylor.

"Hey my love, why are we listening to Taylor? Especially this song. Are we getting divorced?" She chuckles quietly, trying to lighten the mood.
"Oh it just came on." You wave your hand dismissively, not looking at her.
"So we're you planning om going anywhere?"
"No not really." You continue to look at your phone.

"Your mother's distraught." She places a hand on your thigh.
"Good, tell her to leave and I never want to see her again." You roll your eyes.
"You can't say that."
"She didn't approve when we got together, then she just showed up at our wedding. And then she spent 3 weeks with our daughter and then every Christmas and birthday with me and the others and then she gets you arrested. She's so confusing and I think she has never approved of us. I know we have our ups and downs princess but I truly believe we are meant to be and that you are my soulmate and one true love, no matter the age gap. I will continue to protect you, risking everything like I've done before. I don't care if she's hurt or wants to talk, I want her out of my house and life. I only need you and Olivia." You finally turn to face her.

She wipes the stray tear on your cheek before pecking your lips. You climb onto her lap, being held in her warm embrace. You sit there for a minute before you hear screams coming from the house.

You rushed inside and found your mother on the floor, Olivia crying and your sister smiling. You go to open your mouth but your wife beat you to it.
"What the HELL did you do Leah? Olivia seems traumatised and your mother is dead or unconscious on the floor!" She half screams, trying not to distress Olivia more.

"She was being a bitch and I couldn't bare seeing my sister hurt." She sighs, her smile fading.
"That's a very admirable quality Leah but I do have to say, you should've just kicked her out, please don't do this again." Your wife sighs, hugging your sister.

Leah doesn't repulse like she does at normal touch, only you, Olivia and Marilyn are allowed to touch her but she seemed to melt into Larissa's hug.

"She's such a bad mother you know, she sent me away at 4 and she's homophobic, she's a bully, she's manipulative. I couldn't take it anymore. And my poor sister doesn't deserve this, I couldn't bare seeing her hurt. She's gone through so much in the past 5 years. She's been attacked by a hyde twice, witnessed many unpleasant events none of us want to remember and died twice. She needs a break Larissa! She doesn't deserve this!" Leah sobs into your wife, who pulls her over to where you were sitting with Olivia.

She stays in Larissa's embrace, your wife comforting her. You comfort Olivia  and then remember your mother was on the floor. Leah teleports her back to your parents house before arriving back. She climbs back into your wife's embrace, making you and Olivia giggle slightly. You'd never seen your sister so vulnerable and it was kind of heart warming.

"Hey Leah, do you want me to call Marilyn? I thought you'd might like her comfort." Larissa suggests softly.
"No, I don't want to see her, can I stay here?" She says almost inaudibly.
"Yes of course. May I ask what happened with you two, you've been all over eachother for months?" Larissa stroked her hair and rubbed her back.
"She cheated." Leah starts to cry again and your wife pulls her closer, letting her express her feelings.

You were shocked, Marilyn wouldn't do that. You give Larissa a look before walking out the room and texting a few people.

Nevermore now.

Marilyn was dead.
